Linux distribution for gaming and media centre.

Heya! I’m looking to install Linux for the first time on parts from my old pc builds to use as a media centre and multiplayer gaming system in my living room. Something with as clean as possible interface with room for customization would be cool. Oh and support for my old nvidia gpu....

Free (as in freedom) software bares the stipulation that if you use it, it must remain free. The criteria for being free are 1. You may view the source code. 2. You may edit the source code. 3. You may distribute the source code. 4. You may distribute the modifications to the source code. If you use the software the freedoms given to you are to be payed forward to all subsequent people who use it.

Open source only says you can see the source code, but it can be used in any closed sources or proprietary program.

wuphysics87,

It’s easy to say from the sidelines that through diplomacy peace will prevail, but who’s definition of peace? Are the Palestinians going to get any of their land back? What about the natives of the Americas or Australia? You can’t negotiate with colonionalism. You will never even have a seat that the table. The unfortunate truth is that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter. And one party is completely to blame for stacking the deck that way. These two things are not the same.
