What are some of the interesting and popular Kbin magazines ?
I’ve really only put it on some burgers, but would like to see what others like it with :D
So it is convenient and all to use chatGPT from open AI site and to use other AI models on their official sites, but doesn’t feel like a pirate when doing this am I wrong? like OpenAI staff spying on my discussion with my waifu persona I given to ChatGPT, or Midjourney creators knowing about every picture of John Oliver I...
Hello, I want to setup a VPN to dial up my home. I’m having trobules with my WRT3200ACM, and other firmwares aren’t working fine for me due to the oddities of this particular router....
Unsurprisingly, some folks on raddle and reddit seem to have a big problem with lemmy. A lot of it is pure FUD....
It runs all the way down, flanking both sides. I pretend it’s a moat for protection. So lush in some places it’s difficult to not touch with your car as you drive along.
So I’ve been using Linux for about a year and a half, have been using Window managers since a few wweks in, have been using Wayland for the last 3 months or so, and have been using Hyprland for about a month. I love it and I want to stick with it in the long term, but I need a distro that supports it....
One thing Reddit dominates on is search results. I’m looking things up and seeing so many links to reddit, which I guess is going to help keep that place relevant (unless those subreddits stay dark)....
If the instance I started my community on shuts down, then the whole community is gone. Is there anything I can do as a mod to prepare for this so I can transfer everything onto a new instance? Or is everything lost if my instance shuts down?
I found it when searching for some old stuff, does anyone else other than me remember this ?
So, as any self-respecting datahoarder and selfhoster, I have my server rack populated with a few machines, churning along as they tend to my hobby-related projects. Now that I’ve started using Lemmy I’m toying with the idea of selfhosting an instance, as I have both the hardware, bandwidth, and skillset for it....
Basically the title....
I always loved browsing such posts on reddit, so thought I should make one on lemmy too...
For me it was Event Horizon, that was scary as hell when I was a kid, I had nightmares for months.
Filling in the old meme catalogue
For context, LDAC is one of the few wireless audio codecs stamped Hi-Res by the Japan Audio Society and its encoder is open source since Android 8, so you can see just how long Windows is sleeping on this. I’m excited about the incoming next gen called LC3plus, my next pair is definitely gonna have that.
Starting to feel crushed by the weight of the world, riddled with guilt and disappointment in myself over my choices. Nothing I can do about the past though....
I’ve been reporting some stuff and the admins/mods aren’t quite happy there is no report reason provided… can we make that feature more useful for them, instead of just flagging the content?
Old but gold. posting for anybody who hasn’t seen this yet.
Power mods are one of the main problems with reddit. The same thing is already happening with Lemmy....
