Is there a way to make a link to a community of a foreign instance that opens on the instance of the user that clicks on it?...

I’m using Jerboa, I don’t know if it is an app thing or a lack of content thing, but when sorting things by “hot” I only see old posts, should I only see things by new?

Hello fellow lemmites. This whole reddit debacle is really tragic, and I’m looking for alternatives. Problem is, none of the alternatives have subs like r/buteyko or r/becomingtheiceman. Does anybody know of any alternatives with similar subs, if any exist?

With all these new bot instances popping up, have you already seen these accounts actually raiding stuff? And can/do we defederate from those instances?

When I was a kid, it'd have to be Memorial Day. All the extended family would convene at the old family cemetery to decorate the graves. That isn't the weird thing... the weird thing was we treated it as a family reunion and picnicked together among the head stones.

Would sound stupid as I don't indepth of PeerTube yet but I have heard that PeerTube is federated video sharing platform. I also heard it can't hold much a load which makes sense as HD videos takes lots of load. That begs me the question why don't we use it for small/short videos(not those vertical videos) to build communities...

Lately I received a primergy rx2530 m1, m2 and m4 (all maxed out with ram and cpus) and wonder if and which of them can be driven as energy efficient as any random diy built. I began noticing on Reddit (official mobile app) that if I hadn’t viewed a community in a while, it would NEVER show up in my feed. I always assumed this was Reddit trying to play “Facebook” BS - safe to assume with Lemmy that won’t be the case?
