Hi lemmy,...
it would be great if the downloader isnt command line based and can list all the VODs of the channel at once after typing in the channel username/ link (but not too necessary). TYSM
Personally, most of my life has been both difficult and unpleasant due to mental health issues (and capitalism), so I’m just proud of myself for still being here.
How does it work?? I have been trying google-fu for probably two hours trying to figure out how exactly you even install sixel. I found libsixel but it seems unmaintained. I just wanna try out images in my terminal. lol. Does anyone have any experience using sixel on linux and is it worth the effort to even setup?
I wanted to add hardware 2FA to Apple ID, and noticed this particularly strange requirement....
I could research this on my own, but was interested in hearing from the community....

I guess this is not available. Still asking just for sure....
I recently swapped my hdd with an ssd and performed a fresh install of fedora, When I went to reinstall my flatpak application it is requiring me to install gigabytes worth of dependencies and libraries, I am in a Data crunch and I still have the old files; is it possible to just copy the dependencies over and which files am i...
One of the few things that differentiates the major distros is the package manager. I’ve been running void on my laptop for the last 3 years and love it. XBPS is super fast and easy to use. It has never left me with a broken system either. That said, I’ve got the itch to switch....
I’m not proposing anything here, I’m curious what you all think of the future....
It’s strange and unintuitive that my own submitted posts are hidden with this basic feature. Given the slow pace on some communities as Lemmy grows, it gets really repetitive without the ability to filter out read posts. On the other side though, the ability to review my posts and check back on them seems pretty basic as a...
I have been using NextDNS over the past two years, and am generally happy with their service. However, I’ve never compared their quality against the other recommended ones (like Control D, Quad 9, Mullvad, etc) particularly in terms of ping. I’m based in Australia. Any fellow Aussies using any of these services and care to...
I know that there is a WIP for a future article about router platforms, but from the little I’ve read on the Github issue page and a few videos I’ve watched I decided to make this plan right here:...
There can be a lot of junk on Temu admittedly, but it’s kind of fun to find a few deals....
Hello, I have a question regarding the usage of a reverse-proxy which is part of a docker network....
Hello fellow selfhosters! I changed my server OS from fedora server to alma linux as I wanted a more stable base with less frequent updates for my docker containers, so I backed everything up and installed almalinux. It all went smoothly, and now all the containers seem to work as before except for nginx proxy manager: on...
In general, I’d appreciate recommendations for it, but a third party youtube app would be great....
I don’t see that there’s any sort of integration for writing code to process information from HA entities like Node Red + Companion. Am I missing something and this is more than just an interface for the config files and maybe a git client for those config files?
Well I went with your guy’s advice and got me a drive that still has a year of manufacturer warranty on top of the eBay 1 year warranty, but a bit of a sketch seller ngl. The drive itself seems legit visually with matching serial numbers, but womp womp it doesn’t work. At least it fails to initalize, data error (cyclic...
My options for internet connectivity are very limited. I was wondering if I could go to a library or coffee shop or wherever has a good connection and do all my downloading remotely, or if I will run into problems/restrictions....

All the cool projects I see while lurking around here have thrown me into the world of Self-Hosting! Some months ago I got myself a NAS, flashed it with TrueNAS and started playing. Today, I am ready to face the creation of my first homelab....
