Loving this age of anti-Reddit malicious compliance creating content for Lemmy!

Orez66,

It’s a great way to kickstart this place! I found my way to malicious compliance solely because I wanted to see what the subreddits were getting up to without opening the official reddit app.

Kinda sad that it isn't John Oliver, would still be accurate

sirboozebum,

It should be John Oliver next to a vacuum cleaner.

Gimli as Debian seems fitting (coming from a Debian user). 😆 Something about stability and stoutness.

Take them apart. It's fun to play with the little disks inside

And they have cool magnets.

Fondots,

I used to have a lot of keys on my keychain and normally kept them clipped to a belt loop with a carabiner. To keep them from jingling too much I used to keep a hard drive magnet that I scavenged from somewhere stuck to them. Not all of my keys were magnetic but enough of them were and the magnet was strong enough that I could sandwich the non magnetic ones between the other ones and they'd all stick together.

It disappeared on me one day, probably stuck to some metal lamp post or something that I happened to brush up against.

I need to check how magnetic my current keys are to see if it could work, but I think if I ever find myself with another magnet of an appropriate size and strength, I might revisit that idea and put the magnet in a small leather fob or something to keep my keys from jingling.

Give me those hard drives (just kidding). You can host a big media server using jellyfin since you got a lot of disk space.

DarkThoughts, to asklemmy in what should I do with this pile of old (wiped) hard drives?

Throw them in the electronics recycling container if you don't need them.

Stick them on eBay saying they might have had your old crypto.eallet.on them but they got corrupted and can't workout which
