Zworf, to news in NATO should be ready for ‘bad news’ from Ukraine, Stoltenberg warns

If we keep giving them some scraps and some patched up cold war writeoffs then yeah… What are they going to do. Both sides have lost momentum.

The whole thing feels like a stalemate now.

It’s more of a stalemate, while technically every day Ukraine exists is a victory, ideally they’d be in a position to retake thier own land. Meanwhile the only long term possibility the Kremlin has been pursuing is expending vast quantities of men and material in hopes that Nato gets bored before they have to conscript from the cities and get overthrown.

A well noted part of this campaign has been in attempts to foster misinformation and shake confidence in the ability of Ukraine to hold the line and eventually take back its land and people from the invading imperial power.

If you are interested and have a spare hour, Perun’s recent piece on the political war is excellent as always.

kashara,

It’s more of a stalemate,

if you listen to the European and US propaganda, then it is.

Kusimulkku,

What are others saying?

maynarkh,

3 day special military operation.

Yes, because the last two years have been so full of fantastically good news.

kashara,

Even the loss of Bahmut, which fell in March, has never been admitted by UA.

This is really interesting, thanks for sharing.

I knew about the girl who died and her mother’s campaign but didn’t realise how central it was to Khan’s push for this. I also didn’t know his personal problems with asthma and pollution, or his additional security needs.

I’ve seen a lot of these campaigners around. They rolled through Epsom Town centre a few weeks ago and funnily enough, their vans completely blocked the crossing I was trying to use with my 4 year old on a very busy street making it very unsafe.

They’ve caused lots of annoyance with their constant horns, driving up local traffic unnecessarily and megaphones. I hear more hate for Just Stop Oil but can frankly say, they’ve never caused me personally any problems at all so funny isn’t it…

That’s one of the many ways you can tell the people complaining about the climate protestors are just disingenuous reactionaries.

This was quite literally always the plan according to leaked Israeli government documents.

You may not realize it, but this is why Hamas was telling people to stay in their houses and not leave. Because this has happened before, this is not a new thing.

See, there’s the “ethnic cleansing” Israel wanted all along!

Oppress Palestinians, they fight back, so now you can bomb them and steal their homes.

The Iranian government should also be on the hook for a rebuild.
