Ooo, I love this one. Simple yet satisfying design that (as you said) does a great job evoking fjords.

I love it when coats of arms are made into flags (not putting the coat of arms on the flag, but extending the design of the CoA into a flag shape) and I think this would make for a great flag like that!

Didn’t that red dot actually represent Japan in the flag?

Why don’t we create a heraldry sub

Seems unnecessary given the lack of activity in this community. I doubt a heraldry community would get much traction rn.

I live here, and I didn’t know the Coat of Arms until now.

I’m fond of flags.

Definitely my favourite! Kazakhstan is a close second

Mouselemming,

When the parallel lines are just slightly inclined, that’s a-moiré!

YES!! Thanks, that was driving me crazy.

Captain Disillusion did a whole series on video technology and I falsely remembered it coming from there.

I’ll allow it.

You can get a master’s in art, so it must be a science, right?!

I just noticed Christian Edition and Muslim edition, and was puzzled…this is the best article I could find on them. I think its interesting that religious distros keep showing up, rather than just religious packages being available on package managers.

Yah, and Red Hat. Stop pointing that thing at me.
