maybe pick a corporate sponsor/vendor you’d like to see and check out what events they have coming up? you would need to narrow down your scope to something more reasonably limited. siggraph? E3? IEEE?
Anyone have an example of an Android app that feels like this?
Personally I don’t see the appeal of adhering to an existing design system just to make it feel “native”. I’m using Voyager on Android and it’s not native-feeling at all since Voyager is very Apple-inspired, but that doesn’t feel weird/bad. Discord is another app I use every day (though not for Lemmy) and it’s certainly not designed to feel native on either Apple or Android.
Told my experience with a brand from when I worked as a wholesale Buyer for a retail chain. A person that was not part of the original conversation picks a fight, is a combative asshole that looks like any other user, logs in as a mod and permanently bans me. It’s the only time I’ve ever been banned. Reporting him did nothing even though he had a long list of abuse in his history.
I like reminding my colleagues they don’t get paid more for working harder.
Probably why I didn’t get that manager promotion though.
Being perceived to work hard and identifying what’s important to your manager / director is second only to being their mates. Good lunk in your endeavours!
Nope. It’s the principle, for me. I will not use a site that’s run by a militant idiot. Same reason I deleted my Twitter account (although that was much easier since I never used Twitter to begin with).
Apollo shut down so I stopped scrolling reddit. I had a mastodon for a bit and realized I missed how good reddit style social media is in contrast so yay lemmy time
