Socsa,

You must be trolling, it’s 45s to make the dough in a food processor and the sauce actually clings to the noodles.

Socsa,

You are making it wrong then.

Socsa,

Learn this one trick that doctors hate!

Socsa,

I have had my road replaced three times in 5 years because first they installed new gas lines, then they installed new water lines, and that damaged the gas lines so they needed to fix them in a bunch of places.

Socsa,

Ryobi is a distant fourth tbh. It’s basically harbor freight tools but, Home depot.

Socsa,

Is this canonical?

Socsa, (edited )

They are fine for anything which doesn’t require precision. I have a Ryobi bench sander and it’s a complete waste of time. Same with the chop saw I unused to have. It was basically impossible to get flush miters from it no matter how much you adjusted it - the tolerances were just too low. My DeWalt table saw and Chop saw don’t have the same issues. They cut sub-mm precision on day one and still do years later. The table saw in particular is technically a worksite saw, buy you can use it to build cabinets with the right blade.

Socsa,

By the time you get your gas chainsaw started in spring, I’ll be six trees ahead of you.

Socsa,

“It’s been a weird few months. I’m going to work on eating better if you want to join me.”

The transition from the holiday season back to the normal drudgery is so depressing. Is there any way to make Jan / Feb less depressing?

like, it’s still dark at 5pm, there are barely any sports on, still bitterly cold and austere and it hurts to go outside, but you’re not even looking forward to christmas or the new year. the new year is here, and it’s largely the same as last year. except you’re getting older.

Socsa,

I just like sleeping until 10 every day.

Your mother thinks you are very handsome

For junior positions maybe. For senior and especially principals there is a ton of value to continuity. When a senior engineer leaves it’s almost like replacing the entire team in terms of overhead if there isn’t a natural successor. And when principals leave you end up losing vision as well as that leadership. This can kill entire projects of it happens unexpectedly.

I might move again. (Or not) (lemy.lol)

I moved from Lemmy.ml because I liked the name of Lemmy.world and it ran a newer Lemmy version which meant I could make communities. I moved from Lemmy.world because they defederated from piracy communities they didn’t even host (but for some reason still kept the small piracy community they DID host) From thelemmy.club...

They aren’t communists, they are campists who harm leftist movements by doing things like simping for autocrats and making tyrants into folk heroes for the sake be being contrarian.

Banning criticism of China and Russia has literally nothing to do with communism.

I feel like you see a lot more of the whole “fat ugly dude wins smoking hot woman because he is smart and funny and kind to animals” trope than the opposite. In fact, I can’t really think of a single example of the inverse other than… Shrek? And even that’s a stretch.

Socsa,

Or if you’re my ex you just do all of the above.

Socsa,

The screenshot literally says that the payment is including property taxes and insurance.

Socsa,

Never heard of a courtesy flush?

Socsa,

This is precisely why I won’t ever join the “sit to pee” revolution.
