SupraMario,

Squeaky cheese! So damn expensive if your in any other state other than WI…

SupraMario,

Some people can’t get over the fact that spaceX is a net positive for humans. Just as Tesla helped push other manufacturers into the world of EVs. They just hate musk to the point that anything he is associated with is bad.

SupraMario,

I was a fan of the dark Knight trilogy and thought no one is topping this, but Pattenson nailed it. I honestly like his Batman better now, and hope they continue with it.

What is your unpopular flim opinion

I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds

SupraMario,

%100

I think if it was released today with all the super hero love, it would have gotten a lot better reception, and probably multiple movies and tie ins.

SupraMario,

There is some logic to running older stuff, a lot of it is a closed system and it’s harder for threats to target it. Banks are a big one that still run a ton of our financial infrastructure on COBOL.

Hospitals also run on a ton of abandon ware, same with machine shops. Ultrasound machines that are still running 95 because for the hospital to upgrade to windows 7 or 10 is millions for a few machines. So you just airgap the systems for security.

SupraMario,

Unfortunately, they still have parts that fail, the good news is most of its being replaced with new old stock, so not technically new stuff. I know a good number of companies that have stock piles of basically museum level hardware, to replace failing parts.

SupraMario,

It does work for a while but eventually higher end stuff they will pass you on. Training a new employee is about 6 months worth of work, so spinning someone up just on new projects/ history takes a good chunk of time.

SupraMario,

Which sucked that they pulled it down, cause holy fuck was it hilarious watching that thing get vandalized. Pride colors was always a classic go to.

SupraMario,

The struggle is real :( pants are the same way… either super wide and short or long and not wide.

SupraMario,

Hey, fellow Supra owner.

I still have all mine though lol

84, 87 with a 2jzgte I stuffed in it in 07, 88 turbo and 89 NA.

Probably will never get rid of them, they’re the fat pigs that will always be fun to drive and comfortable on long road trips as well.

SupraMario,

The 1j I’d have said go for it, 20 years ago, now I don’t recommend it. %100 2jz it, you’ll not have issues finding parts. Or if you’re feeling adventurous, got 1.5jz.

SupraMario,

Project Lazarus…and steins gate has already been said but both are fantastic.

SupraMario,

Lower Decks is amazing. It’s up there with Futurama. It’s just damn good, even if you’re not a trek fan.

SupraMario,

I’m actually doing the same thing, all because of LD. Wanting to know more about the lore.

SupraMario,

Sounds like they don’t care if it’s going to build more tanks for the meat grinder.

SupraMario,

Wasn’t that the ending in the original one from the 70s?

SupraMario,

Lol do you live in a bubble or something? You do know how big the USA is right? Most of the EU fits into Texas alone. Some of us who are rural have a lot of land and don’t need privacy fences.

SupraMario,

You better tell that to Toyota and a lot of the other big players who are quietly still working on hydrogen ICE vehicles.

SupraMario,

Naa, they know that without a major leap in battery capabilities, hydrogen is way easier to swap over to. Existing gas stations can be converted quickly, you can fill up a hydrogen car in a few seconds/minutes unlike EVs, and the current ICE’s can be basically reused to handle hydrogen (the design not the motor in your current car just the design). It’s a no brainier to go towards this.

SupraMario,

You nailed it. At the end of the day, EVs are really only practical for people who don’t drive much. Not only that, you would absolutely need a battery swap system. Or each gas station would need to become a damn substation for the power company. Trying to draw that much power is unfeasible.

SupraMario,

Most small towns don’t have substations either. Do remember the more people with EVs the greater the power draw.

SupraMario,

Easier to retrofit a gas station with hydrogen tanks than it is to build substations at the gas station to help with the power draw from evs charging.

SupraMario,

We already deal with compressed gas in a lot of cities, so this isn’t an issue.
