Hopefully all the different clients will soon support good blocking. With connect for android I can block instances and keywords, but I most just continually block on a community basis what I don’t want to see from All. I’m sure there are hundreds in there. This keeps it quite relevant for me but I’m still in the flow of seeing new subs. I do subscribe to all the ones I really like.
So it’s a curation process, but a more active one vs trying to hunt subs down like I used to do with Reddit.
Very nice, yeah that’s the problem. I broke into AIX in the wholesale industry in early 2000’s so I have very few finance connections, which is where it all seems to be.
I have also been work from home for 7 years now and figured I’d have to go onsite for banks. That may have changed post covid. I will poke around and see what might be out there for me
There was a big uproar on reddit at the time, but like all things people get complacent and bored and don’t actually go through with anything they said they would do that would inconvenience them.
Not just the terminal, I mean a full remote desktop. What’s the best method? Not just from one linux machine to another machine, but also remoting from a windows machine to a linux machine....
I use NoMachine as well as it has been the most responsive solution for me.
My biggest problem that I finally figured out was that NoMachine was attaching to a VNC console instead of creating its own display when I was using it with Unraid VMs (KVM)

By commercialism, I’m aiming at a mix of spending a lot and sifting through bloated business models (e.g. this or that accessory/equipment, microtransactions, etc.). Feel like many can relate to this sort of commercial fatigue, and yet it creeps even into hobbies where one tries to unwind....
I have this too, I figure it’s just a visual / cache related bug. I don’t bother reupvoting, if I come back later or stop and restart the app it’s there.
It even happens with the same post, like if you upvote from the feed and then open the post it doesn’t show as upvoted.

bookmark cancels upvote
Does anyone else experience this? When I upvote a post and then bookmark it, the upvote disappears. I then have to redo the upvote.
