I was thinking the same thing as you and you’re getting skewered for it. Hedge funds are not looking for a 20+ year ROI, which is what it took Bezos. That’s the simplest answer I can think of, but I’m sure there’s plenty more reasons they didn’t think young Bezos’ idea was worth throwing millions at.
