tamago kake gohan, it’s basically raw eggs mixed with rice
Haha, that's literally all it is. As someone who's eaten it many times, don't get your hopes up. It's the "I've just woken up after drinking last night and only sleeping 4 hours but I gotta go to work and I can't be fucking bothered to cook" breakfast.
DON’T do what I’ve done a couple of weeks ago - landed me my first HR meeting ever :D
I had to use my coworkers (lady around 50, not too clever with the computers) computer on remote desktop. As I was about to close it, I thought to myself “Perfect setup for a joke”. On her computer, I went to pranx.com/hacker/ and put in on full screen. Literally like 30s later, our IT guy (he’s in the same room as me) get a phone call and all I can hear is shouting in the earpiece. I say to him don’t worry, I know what’s this about, I’m going to sort it out. I went downstairs and boss’s wife is running past shouting that we need to phone the police, I walk into the lady’s room and she’s hysteric. I say cool down, it’s a joke.
Safe to say, they were not laughing (probably the fact that I still was, wasn’t helping my case :D)
Capture 1000 mosquitoes, torture them and rip their heads. Mount these heads on needles and display them near windows and entrances as a warning to the others.
I enjoy it but different people prefer different types of exercise and sometimes try the wrong one for them then give up. Some people really do love cardio, some feel amazing when they lift weights and get stronger, some prefer a group class or sport. If you’re doing something solo though I HIGHLY recommend adding in music or an audiobook or podcast, especially if you’re feeling like it isn’t for you. That can help if you’re getting bored. Then, switch it up. If you didn’t like the elliptical, try a weight lifting session. If the weights weren’t your cup of tea, try a yoga class or a free yoga video if you just want to try it at home without so much expense and commitment.
Can you buy a million sterilized mosquitos and release them into your environment? It’s a long term solution but they can compete the fertile mosquitos to death.
Pasteurized eggs are all you really need. It kills most of the germs including most of the salmonella in the egg but their is a slight chance you might still catch it, but the chances of catching it are extremely small with pasteurized eggs.
My suggestion is to crack your pasteurized eggs into a a separate bowl and make sure their is no blood. If their is any blood, either pitch the egg or cook it properly as not to waste it.
Remnants of blood will still contain salmonella. But cooking that egg will kill the salmonella.
I’ve been making Tamago Kake Gohan for the last month or two now for breakfast and it is extremely good.
well, i was taught the salmonella is on the shell (mainly). so this would be no good advice. i don’t know anything about pasteurized eggs, though. nor north or south american eggs.
It’s turned into the car stereo thing. In 2002, I wanted a rainbow vomit colored faceplate, CD-R and MP3 support, CD carousel in the trunk, a USB port, steering wheel remote
Now I just want bluetooth, an aux in and a volume button.
Until phones merge with a steamdeck or something, there isn’t much to look forwards to anymore.
My phone from 2014 pretty much did everything my current phone can. Certainly nothing worth spending hundreds of dollars on if you have a working cell.
Vou escrever em inglês porque esse tipo de info é bom de compartilhar.
The risk is fairly small. Like, considerably smaller than eating a street hot dog. But if you’re still worried about salmonella, you can pasteurise the eggs at home, it’s really annoying (the egg is safe at 59°C, but it starts cooking at 65°C, so the temp margin is fairly small).
If willing to do it, you’ll need a large pot, a thermometer, and ideally a thermal bag.
Fill the pot with water. Heat it until the water goes beyond 59°C. Around 70°C should be fine.
Transfer the pot with water to the thermal bag. Let it cool back until the water is around 62°C. (Overheating it and letting it cool is a bit more foolproof than trying to reach the exact temperature right off the bat.)
Place the eggs in the water. Close the pot and the thermal bag. Forget about it for 15min.
Using a larger pot is recommended because more water = more thermal mass = more constant temperature.
The only place on here that I’ve noticed downvotes is on comments that have been obviously social media shills (reddit or meta) or right wing type comments that are not the type of thing a community should support in my opinion. I’m not saying you’re doing either of those things and if you’re being downvoted in another context I don’t know why.
That said, downvotes shouldn’t really get you down. If you’ve said something awful then you deserve them and should reassess your outlook if you were unaware that your views or attitude were unpleasant. If you’re getting downvoted on a tech related thing then I don’t know what that’s all about but I would try not to worry about it too much because it doesn’t really affect your life, it’s just a fake internet down arrow.
Thank you, interestingly the thing that prompted me to ask was a tech joke, all (4) down-votes, I removed a jab at Apple and added a picture and the the responses was positive. The lesson must be one of these: That we have mostly strong apple fans here; jokes need a picture even if it does not add anything; or people look at the vote total to decide their mindset while reading and the first vote was down by bad luck. Or some combination of these.
