RickyRigatoni, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?
@RickyRigatoni@lemmy.ml avatar

Since deleting my account the only times I’ve been on it were when a search for a solution led me to it. So like 5 times.

loom_in_essence, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

Yeah, there are a few subs that haven’t made the transition.

jerkjaguar, in What's your favorite third-party app that integrates beautifully design-wise with your native iOS/Android apps?

It was Joey for Reddit. Currently on Connect for Lemmy

chahk, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

No.

Purged all my posts and comments, deleted my 12-year-old account (65k+ karma) and uninstalled Boost. Now I only go there occasionally from search results.

oyenyaaow, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

2 subs, one of them i go in every few days and go through almost every new posts and some older ones for quite some time now, and haven’t found a similar one here. and /whatisthisthing because seriously there are a lot of new interesting things there. and i guess i’ll answer if i ever were there. if old reddit is gone, i’m gone.

Wirrvogel, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I clicked by accident on a few links on Feddit that lead to Reddit (people should post archive links instead) and closed the site without reading immediately, otherwise I am clean since I made this account on June 12. I do still miss Reddit a bit, but I will not go back, no matter what the site does. I also reduced my online time drastically which is doing wonders for my mental health and how much I get done in my household.

Lolors17, in What's a big tech product that you actually find useful?

Samsung TV.

mc_zodiac_pimp,

I’m glad you’ve had good luck with your Samsung TV. We have a Q60 and I absolutely despise it. I can’t wait to get rid of it. Apple TV had made it useable, so I’ll probably stick with it until it dies. My problem with it is the OS. It’s absolutely garbage in my opinion, and slow as hell.

Wishing a good future for yours!

Lolors17,

My TV is very old, it only has 1080p with 50 hertz. I don’t usw the OS of the TV itself very offen, but what I can say is that, when switching sources it’s a real pain, especially with HDMI-CEC.

JackbyDev, in In which game did you spend the most hours?

They’ve reset mine twice before many years ago. I’m sure Minecraft is my top overall. In steam it says Metal Gear Solid 5 is my top but I would leave it running sometimes for the research to finish. Second is Garry’s Mod. I played that A LOT when I was younger.

kerr, in During travel, what can I prepare beforehand as meal, which can be eaten without access to fire or microwave?
@kerr@kbin.social avatar

Not sure if it’s in your list, but the hot dog places were immensely popular and quite cheap when we were there a few years ago. Bæjarins Beztu was very tasty. Ate hot dogs with crispy onions and remoulade A LOT when we got home to recreate them. Even if you can’t take them with you during the day tours I’d recommend trying it out anyway.

nigelinux,

Yes hot dog! We’ve bookmarked it already but your firsthand experience has made me more eager to try!

gogosempai, in What series did you rewatch most often?
@gogosempai@programming.dev avatar

I know it’s cliche but Friends.

WigglingWalrus, in What's a good router for a home VPN?
@WigglingWalrus@feddit.uk avatar

Do you have any other requirements for the router? Or just to be able to run a VPN? When you say VPN, are you looking just to encrypt your home network (create your own VPN) or to use a paid service? E.g. VPN client or server?

eazel7,

I’m looking to dial in my home to reach some servers I expect to have running there. I could go the raspberry way, but I’d prefer it to be a router. I have some cloud servers for my own development that I’d like to host myself And maybe one of those services would be exposed.

WigglingWalrus,
@WigglingWalrus@feddit.uk avatar

Most decent routers should support that. I personally use a Unifi Dream Machine which I can’t fault. Previously used a Nighthawk router which also supported it.

FlashPossum, in What are some of the things you say / think to yourself when going through a hard time or dealing with uncertainty to help yourself along?

Life is like a long running tv show. Some previous seasons were awesome. This one sucks but I have to stay around to find out what happens next.
Doesn’t matter how bad it currently is, the curiosity to see which twist it pulls next is stronger.

tomcatt360, in What movie did you rewatch most often?
@tomcatt360@lemmy.world avatar

It’s a Wonderful Life. Every year on Christmas, and every year I can relate with George just a little bit more. I’ve even seen a stage version of it love!

SexualPolytope, in What movie did you rewatch most often?
@SexualPolytope@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

Gangs of Wasseypur. It’s a 5-hour movie, split into two parts. But really, it’s just one epic story. I’ve watched it countless number of times. While in college, me and my mates would get high and watch this movie. I’ve probably watched it with most of my friends at least once.

Two other movies that come close are Pulp Fiction and Bhooter Bhobishyot.

Crashumbc, in What movie did you rewatch most often?

Kid- Clash of the Titans (eighties version)

Cable years - Shawshank Redemption (it is still ALWAYS on)

recent/streaming- Avengers or GotG

TheOneAndOnly,

Original Clash of the Titans Medusa scared the crap out of me. I may be dating myself…
