I’m not much of a gamer admittedly but I have no issues with touch controls. I played several GTA games (III, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories), KOTOR 1 & 2, and several shooters on mobile. Right now I play Genshin Impact almost entirely on mobile and am not noticeably worse than when on PC, and I’m starting Hitman: Blood Money as well. Mobile is severely underrated in capacity, and while there is a learning curve and it is more limited than PC, you adapt pretty rapidly.
But most mobile games suck now. IB has been gone for ages— slain by Epic Games on the plains of Koroth— and it’s hard to think of a good AAA mobile series that came after. Most mobile games seem like thinly veiled money grabs. Even Blood Money was preceded by a godawful sequel to an actually good Hitman: Sniper game filled to the brim with classic mobile microtransaction drivers. I have Apple Arcade included with my subscription and it’s better for not having MTX, but the games themselves aren’t too complex.
And well, maybe that’s because companies expect mobile players to lack the time for long sessions. So a lot of the games feel like they’re designed for brief sessions like that failed streaming service. The view on that seems to be changing, thankfully, as more AAA games are getting ported again so maybe mobile will get another renaissance.
People don’t need super powers for that, it’s so easy. Crack open the way for the ego drug and they do anything. Nobody is immune. The “holier” the person, the easier it is.
They’re used in hotel restaurants, canteens, cafeteries etc. for making a uniform product when serving many people in a buffet.
It’s alright, I guess. Eggs are great for this kind of product.
It would be nice to save the plastic bag and just make actual scrambled eggs, which is about as difficult as opening the bag anyway. However in kitchens like in hotels where the staff is new every month, it’s an easy way to keep that dish from fucking up.
I was once at a 4 star hotel where a chef would cook each dish of scrambled eggs individually for each guest from a selection of additional ingredients and spices. Sure it was a luxury experience, but I could as well have eaten the bagged eggs and added some stuff myself if I actually needed mushrooms and peppers etc.
And for hard boiled egg some canteens and restaurants use Long Egg, a cylindrical shaped hard boiled egg with a cylinder of egg yoke in the middle. https://www.danaeg.com/our-products/long-eggs/
If I had to guess: they separate the whites and yolks, and then there’s a concentric cylindrical mold where they pour the whites in the outside and the yolks in the center (maybe lightly beaten to break the membranes?), start bringing things up to temp, and remove the inner ring once the whites are firm enough, so that the whole thing is a continuous egg-rod when done cooking.
It sounds like you’re at the forefront of putting-prepared-eggs-in-bags research. Let us know your findings and may we take one more step closer to finally achieving the lofty dream of putting devilled eggs in a burlap sack.
Every grocery store, cafeteria, and gas station I go to has them. I chose a link to a manufacturer's page so there won't be a sales link. A quick search will show every major grocery or convenience store chain has there own store brand prepackaged boiled eggs.
I still deal with every company people here are listing. I even really like some of them despite the owners views etc. (if you make a good chicken sandwich and beat your wife, I’m still gonna eat that sandwich while hoping you go to jail).
I have not seen anyone mentioning Reddit yet though, and that kinda shocks me. I know it’s not the same as giving them a dollar but they’ve received no eyeballs, add revenue or obviously content from me since the exodus.
I also eat at Chick-fil-A occasionally, but it’s mainly because there are so few places I actually like the food. I do feel bad each time because I know the profit from my meal is going to fund some pretty awful lobbyists. It’s not just giving money to a bigot, it’s giving money to a bigot who is very active in politics.
It’s increasingly hard to avoid that though. It seems like every single owner of each company in the fortune 500 is actively trying to drag us back into feudalism.
I spend a lot of time in hotels but for work where i tend to start at 6am. Breakfast is still not an option cause I’m usually leaving at 0530 and be damned if I’m waking up at 0400 to go have shitty Breakfast
partner is a brilliant word about to made meaningless, apparently, so, love you all, friends, buddies, girlies, girlfriends, boyfriends, beards, compatriots and fellow travelers, fuck i’'m old I forgot a few dozen thousand.

Preinstalls is the only way I’ve paid Microsoft recently, and that was for two gaming PCs for my kids. Before that it was when I bought a laptop with preinstalled OS in 2009.
Only time i paid them directly was for the win98 upgrade license, which was objectively worth it since I could use my Win3.1 floppies as an upgrade starting point.
Now I’m a linux user. I only have windows on my work laptop.
Had one customer when working for an ISP would call anytime he ‘felt like’ his internet was slow. No shock, each time he called was because someone else at the office was working and using the internet correctly. As the contract renewal came about I recommend we don’t renew his contract and cut ties, the boss was confused about this because this discussion never came up before.
I showed the boss the customer ticket history and how we are loosing money on this customer after considering support costs.
The boss agreed and oh boy the client wasn’t happy when we told him.
