I spent the entire evening playing virtual D&D while sewing details onto a corset and making a bloody necklace (it’s for a stage act). Quite happy with the result.
Got hotpot with like 50 of my coworkers. Had a blast. Some table ordered too much food and it was hilarious for everyone else as we watched them struggle to finish it all. We had to rotate people into their table to help eat the food.
Worked on some music (synthesizer programming) got dinner with bae, enjoyed some recreational drugs in lieu of alcohol (dry January, lol) and cuddling with the cat!
Another thing that’s curious about these lights which also applies to your computer/smartphone display aswell is the fact that it’s able to produce yellow color despite only having red, green and blue leds in it. If you open up a yellow picture on your monitor and look closely with a magnifying glass there’s no yellow there.
Thats another thing I don’t get. Itf you look at your tv screen real close its all red/green/blue. Every pixel/cell, how does it appear different from far away
Human eyes have three kinds of cells (photoreceptors) for color detection. They each react to either red, green or blue light. If more than one of those cells are activated, your brain interprets the light based on what cells activated, and how strongly they activated. If red and green cells activates, the light is seen as yellow. The light is seen as white if all of them activates fully.
This also means that light bulbs can produce white light by simply producing three wavelengths (colors) of light. The problem with that kind of “fake” white is that colors will look wrong under such light due to the way how objects reflects light. This is very common with low quality LED lights, and even the best smart lights aren’t very good at it. When buying LED lights, you might want to look at the CRI (Color Rendering Index) value and make sure it’s above 90, or as high as possible.
no, He’s merely expounding on his original question, he knows that likes are invisible on YouTube, so why do people call out others for liking their own comments /videos when there’s no way for anyone to know who clicked “like”
Russia is sending migrants to Finland and after we closed the eastern border they started walking thru the forest and showing up on the yards of people living close to the border. These people are literally hiking thru deep snow in the freezing winter wearing sneakers.
Yeah mostly from middle east I believe. Finland started putting up hundreds of kilometers of border fence about a year ago as this was expected to happen. They’re trying to destabilize our political system this way. Despite what many articles say this is not about trying to stop an invasion. It’s about migrants that Russia is using as political leverage.
There was this small project long ago where you could organize all your desktop data in mindmap like 3d galaxies. It was really beautiful, but I can’t remember it’s name, nor have I found something similar again for modern operating systems.
