HATEFISH, (edited ) https://midwest.social/pictrs/image/716b5e3c-0450-4721-8136-9f0cfcd4b75d.pngI swear my tastes are much more varied than this screenshot would lead you to beleive.
But also post your favorite punk songs
Globulart, (edited ) I randomly got into “she’s kerosene” by the interrupters this year. Saw it on a very amateur bmx clip reel and couldn’t get it out of my head all year.
Having said that, it didn’t make my Spotify wrapped list.
HATEFISH, Pretty fun album, my girlfriend jokes it would be her pro wrestling walk out music.
JenIsBringingTheDrugs,
HATEFISH, Reccomend me your favorite GEL? XOXO fucks
JenIsBringingTheDrugs, Violent closure, honed blade, bitchmade, predominant mask all go hard
neptune, What town did they match you with?
HATEFISH, Portland for Codefendants and Get Dead

New Order tracks for top artist as I listened to them a ton after seeing them in concert… 36 years after the last time I saw them play. lol
Til They Drop is my “driving around by myself with the music up” jam. I guess I was doing that a lot this year.
Poringo,
Baizey, Nice, carpenter brut
Have you seen them live? They’re out touring atm
Poringo, Wish I could, but I don’t live in Europe or the US so :(
Baizey, Damn :/ I caught them randomly on a Tuesday
Can certainly recommend it if the opportunity strikes
Zidane, I love me some Julia Wolf and Kailee Morgue. Not sure how Drake is on there… I have zero songs from him in my top 100 https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/ceedcddd-c017-41b9-8d86-f66891daa097.jpeg
Valeena, (edited ) Top artist is Les Cowboys Fringants, which happens to be my favourite band.
Their singer died on November 17 of prostate cancer. He had it since 2020 but only revealed it to the fans on 2022.
I’ve seen them almost a year ago at the Centre Bell in Montreal (around 20k seats amphitheatre). It was the most memorable show I’ve ever seen.
They are a band that has been running for something like 25 years. Multiple generations have grown with them. The Quebec is still mourning him.!
JetpackJackson,
Hobart_the_GoKart, Top artist was Trisomie 21
Top song was Discoteque by Molchat Doma

callouscomic, 2023 isn’t over
dingus, While true that it isn’t, Spotify puts out their wrapped before the year end.
SidewaysHighways, Xmas skews all data
dingus, Ohhh. I never thought about why they do it but this makes a ton of sense.

Kinda weird how skewed it got. I didn’t think I listened to all that much Clark and JIL.
agent_flounder, (edited ) Well, the intro tracks for ASOT and ABGT kind of skewed things. But anyway…
- Top Artist: Guiseppi Ottaviani
- Top Song: Follow the Waves - Kyau & Albert
And apparently I listened to Sia - Elastic Heart a shitload of times. 🤔
Edit:
- 21,068 minutes
- Top Genre: Progressive Trance (well duh)
TonyHawksPoTater, My top artist was Tenacious D, and my top song was Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai.
LongbottomLeaf, He does not need a microphone. His voice is fucking POWERFUL!!!
TonyHawksPoTater, Funnily enough, that was my most listened song from them! I got to see them do it live during the Spicy Meatball Tour, and his voice is fucking (fucking) POWERFUL!!!
LongbottomLeaf, That is epic! Jealous.

Didn’t realize I listened to so much Arcade Fire this year. Kinda weird.
dingus, (edited ) Top artist: Cautious Clay (pop/r&b) (top 0.05% of listeners)
Top song: That’s Hilarious by Charlie Puth (pop)
To be honest, I don’t think my top song is really standout compared to the others in my top. But I had a rough day and played that song on repeat like a zillion times for some reason.
Some bangers from my top five are:
#2: How I Want Ya - Dawin Remix by Hudson Thames (pop/electronic)
And #5: Want You in My Room by Carly Rae Jepsen (pop)
