i've been getting back into Big Band Swing in general, but Andy Kirk and the Twelve Clouds was a special group, and one of their pianists Mary Lou Williams was a true pioneer of jazz solo improvisation.. still mind blowing to hear..
Walkin' and Swingin' is a good one..
Close to Five is just badass

Sarsaparilla, I went thru many of his songs after discovering "The Search". "When I grow up" is great ... the subtle comedy in the kitchen scene is brilliant. He's quite the lyrical genius!
