I recently made a post about just this lemmy.ml/post/10559407

Harpsist,

I used to keep impeccable bookmarks.

Unfortunately. It was a time where book marks were ONLY on your pc. So as soon as my hard drive crashed. I lost all of them.

I only had to do this a few times before I stopped caring.

Eventually firefox allowed cloud sync. But it was to late. I e forgotten hundreds of sites.

dis_honestfamiliar,

Interesting comments here. I’ll share my process. I browse the web in incognito (private) exclusively. If there’s something I want to come back to later, I copy paste the URL into a non private window so that it becomes part of history. So, my history is filled with things I plan to come back to. Then, I bookmark things that I need to come back to more than once.

Haha yeah. This is why I rarely bookmark these days.

However, actual paper bookmarks are pretty awesome.
