Hello, I have 160GB to run Lemmy but I saw that as much as 77GB is used by pictrs....

I’m just starting with lemmy, so this may be a very basic question, but why do these numbers differ? I’ve searched for and subscribed to cats community for example. Why all the comments/reactions haven’t been synced?...

If there a way to filter other languages or something? It’s good they’re there, but seeing posts from communities that communicate entirely in a language I don’t read is basically useless and in tired of filtering eight communities per day only to make little to no difference.

How do you block a lemmy account from your community, when they’re on an instance your mod account can’t see??? There’s someone spamming my community from k.bin, but the posts aren’t showing up on sh.itjust.works so I’m not sure how to delete the posts or even block the account. Can someone help please?

I think a lot of people will need to have this critical feature in lemmy, can you upvote this post so we can restore this feature

Today, I tried (again) to install lemmy on my linux server. I tried in the past but the documentation was so lacking that I only encountered errors after errors just following exactly every command....

I deleted my instance and want to use my domain for something else. However, traffic keeps getting pushed to my server. Is there a way to stop this?

I’m not sure how to update properly to the new version without breaking my instance. I tried following the directions in the instructions but I’m not sure if I have to have my original ansible files when I first set up the instance or not. Can someone give me a simple step by step?

I’m getting an error when trying to access the PC master race community on lemmy.world “couldnt_find_community”. I can’t even read my own comments on there. Strange, considering as far as I know we haven’t defederated from .world. Anybody know how I can fix this or should I message the admins?

It’s strange and unintuitive that my own submitted posts are hidden with this basic feature. Given the slow pace on some communities as Lemmy grows, it gets really repetitive without the ability to filter out read posts. It’s real annoying when a post blows up and the little bell icon in the top right keeps adding to its counter well past the time when you care about that post any longer. Is there some way to ignore further updates to a specific post or comment?
