But if you cancelled it, then just purge remove the snap like the following: <span style="color:#323232;">sudo snap remove --purge steam </span> That should skip the data backup when removing. I’ve seen reports of other users that this backup process sometimes takes 10-20 minutes with the default remove command, even with small programs. Blame Canonical for that one.
