The Marvels was poorly paced and I don’t know if that’s more the fault of the editing or the directing. But holy shit the individual pieces were so. good.
The interactions between the leads, the evolution of the fight scenes to integrate the problem and turn it into an advantage. Princesses and kittens are not my kind of deal, but they were absolutely perfect in this movie and I was thrilled to see them. Kamala Khan being a superhero with a normal, well-adjusted, loving family is one of my favorite things about her character.
My frustration and disappointment with this and with The Eternals is this had all the pieces to be a great Marvel movie, but the pieces didn’t get assembled properly somehow. I don’t know what changed about their production process, but if they can fix it, they still have good content to build great movies on. Haters bedamned.
Having three kids, I get this sometimes. After bedtime is usually the first real chance I have to be alone in the day, so I don’t get any “Me” time until like 9 or 10 at night, and by that point I’m so exhausted, but maybe there’s something I’ve been wanting to get to all day I just don’t want to sleep. Other times I’m so wiped out I just let sleep take over, then do the whole thing all over again the next day.
I feel this, but it’s only one kid for me. Three must be insane. Most days I look forward to something intended to occupy that free time, but like you I’m always wiped or experiencing a headache by 8pm or later. So I’ve gotten back into reading. Low energy, comfy, can do it on bed. Except now I open the book and am nodding off between sentences. Falling asleep easier than ever, but doomed nonetheless.
This is me, but I don’t have any kids. I’m just tired and one thing I’ve been wanting to do will gain priority over the other: e.g. play a game/do something productive around the house etc., OR try to sleep. More often than not I decide to use the time trying to sleep which translates into watching a few hours of IASIP in bed. I believe that’s Michael Scott’s win win win scenario, right??
If anything the peak was infinity wars. But tbh just finished watching s02 of loki and it's absolutely excellent. I have tons of critique but still it's very good.
I keep asking my IT department for the top-end MacBook Pro, but they keep denying my request. They always go on and on about how I am a Team Lead on the production line, and that there is no legitimate reason as to why I would need any laptop at all. Bunch of penny pinchers if you ask me. Hell, I’ve been asking for a company card since my interview! They laugh every time I bring it up—It’s like this some big joke. Though to be fair, they said if I show up on time each day to work, I get to keep my job.
Shit that’s a great idea! I should make a presentation, just to really “wow” them. I could show it at our next safety and wellness meeting. I’m not invited to those meetings, but I’m sure they wouldn’t mind!
Something funky was going on the other night through today. Someone enabled some shows they weren’t supposed to or something. My daughter messaged me saying the walking dead, Grey’s anatomy and a bunch of other stuff was on Disney. There was even a section labeled ‘Star’ with lots of new content but it’s all gone as of right now.
My brother and I share an account. Awhile back we were having an issue where every time one of us got on, the language was set to Spanish. We each thought the others kids were doing something stupid, but after a little bit he I guess figured out someone in Mexico had got his account info. So maybe try changing your password.
I’m using a VPN so I thought maybe it switched to a South American country or something. I manually switched to one to test it out but I didn’t get any of the content back and I didn’t get the section that said Star.
