(“You like coffee?”) Japanese: Anata wa kōhī ga sukidesu. (“You like coffee.”) Kōhī wa sukidesu ka? (“You like coffee?”) I think you’ll find the pattern of question words/suffixes in nearly every language that is not explicitly tonal.
