I do post, but the last time I posted a lot I was told I was spamming. I posted 10 different memes in one day.

CeruleanRuin,

Gotta spread the love around to different communities, and parcel it out. Make ten memes and post two a day, meanwhile banking up more. If you have the talent for making memes, before long you’ll have so many stored up that you can just post them at will, either over time or downthread as a reaction to something else and let someone else repost them.

Littleborat,

You all need to post your family disputes online asking if the problem might be you.

Stories of you sharting on yourself.

Or erotica stories of you being an 18year old girl even though you are a fat person named John.

If you don’t create content like that you will never steal whoreson spezz user base. So get at it.

CeruleanRuin,

But I don’t want that shit-tier comment on lemmy either.

iraq_lobster,

nah man, not that kind of posts. the last we need is stupid coms like c/aita

butsbutts,

FART

i’m helping!!!

CeruleanRuin,

Lol, flatulence

chatokun,

Fathers Against Rude Television?

TheSanSabaSongbird,

It would also be pretty cool if Lemmy wasn’t overrun by dipshit edgelord teenagers. I’ve about had it with the signal-to-noise ratio around here, just not sure where else to go for wholesome timewasting.

The thing that was nice about Reddit is that as long as you stayed away from the big subs, it was pretty easy to find informed and intelligent discussion. Not so on Lemmy, unless I’m just doing it wrong, which is definitely possible.

KingThrillgore,
@KingThrillgore@lemmy.ml avatar

It doesn’t even need to be good content, just post content! I post bad shit to 196 all the time.

UnrepententProcrastinator,

Yeah we noticed. Jk.

Littleborat,

What is this 196 anyways it seems like they told an Ai make funny memes?

CeruleanRuin,

It’s like a midden heap for memes. Everyone throws their random crap in there. Sometimes you find a gem amid the poo.

sock,

turns out quantity over quality also ruins a platform

Algaroth,

Don’t boo this post! It is the truth!

Xyloph,

I don’t know… I’m just on the toilet, really.

After having my last account banned I gave up posting and commenting for the most part.

Xanthrax,
@Xanthrax@lemmy.world avatar

How’d that happen?

Annoyed_Crabby,

On browser version, scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on “modlog”, then on the “Filter by user” bar, type in a part of OP’s username and it will give you a list of matched user, pick the one on lemmy.world, and a list of mod action will shows.

Interesting! Bookmarked

Annoyed_Crabby,

You’re welcome.

CeruleanRuin,

This is useful.

ComradePorkRoll,

They posted a step by step guide for making improvised explosives.

Daxtron2,

Damn, so much for free speech. Can’t even make bombs in this country anymore.

Whirling_Ashandarei,

I am certainly not commenting here to save this.

Hiro8811,

Really? Where can I see that?

interdimensionalmeme,

You’re not allowed, moderators forbids you. If you disagree, you will be erased.

ComradePorkRoll,

Who are you talking to?

HowMany,

You make it sound so easy… simple… wholesome. When it’s nothing like that. No. Nothing like that at all. The Lem will grow. Patience little one. Enjoy the quiet and calm while you may. and above all - learn.

sederx,

I deleted almost everything I post. It’s just full of whiny bitches

Hiro8811,

Wha? Didn’t expect that from Lemmy

sederx,

Me neither I guess mostly assholes are left.

CeruleanRuin,

Maybe your posts just sucked.

Lizzy_Wizzy,

Real. I’m such a hypocrite

ieightpi, (edited )

The fact that lemmy users are as humble as yourself is reason enough to keep this community going.

Lizzy_Wizzy,

💖

Grandwolf319,

Also, let’s not forget commenting so it counts as activity.

CeruleanRuin,

This.

But also, don’t just post useless crap like “This.” Or one-liners. Or the most annoying shit ever, which is when people just type out lines from a song, as if they’re singing them in person. Like dude, we know you just googled it and copy-pasted that from Genius.com. Don’t spam me with your bad pun threads either please.

crawancon,

I’m doing my part! (winks at camera)

OttoVonNoob,

People complaining? I feel like this is the perfect amount. I’d go to post something on reddit and see it was posted 12 times since I tried.

Hiro8811,

And reposted 25 times

Cap,

Does someone have a link to an app that will let me post? Using boost and can’t post pictures.

hubobes,
can,

Is that a boost issue or your instance? I thought I heard lemm.ee has a really small upload limit.

I’m very fond of Sync.

Cap,

It’s lemme.ee . I’ll check it out thanks

Mr_Blott,

Sync for Lemmy

Do you only comment in images of some sort?

samus12345,
@samus12345@lemmy.world avatar

No, that one just felt appropriate.

ridethisbike,

Damn …

can,

That many comments really does make a difference. Still, next time you see something cool online consider submitting it? It’s not as bad here as you might think.

LeafOnTheWind,

What if I don’t look anywhere else online?

crawancon,

then post about your experience or wisdom you’ve gained from here?

can,

Reconsider

Blue_Morpho,

I didn’t even comment for a long time because of the requirement to use a real email instead of disposable. I didn’t even have a real email on Reddit and I created that account long after it was popular (but before they required real email accounts). Imo Lemmy cracked down on potential fake accounts too soon and it is costing them growth.

Registration, especially requiring legitimate credentials is a huge barrier for many people who would otherwise post.

NotSpez, (edited )

I’m sorry but I don’t really see it being that much of a hurdle with services like SimpleLogin where you can activate an address, create an account and then deactivate it again. Or am I wrong here?

Blue_Morpho,

Lemmy.world’s faq claims they will ban you when they eventually find out you used a service like that.
