FuckSpez, in stormworks - Stormworks game community

I’m slightly disappointed that it’s not stormworks@sh.itjust.works

So I happen to know this admin and I have to say, stay away at all costs. They’re super nice and so once you’re in their sphere of influence, you’ll never be able to leave. You’ll be trapped in the quicksand of a really nice time 😭

Just in case I wasn’t clear. Gabe is a top admin. Check out the instance.

!Terrariums would fit under hobbies.

I’m hoping in the future it can grow and expand to other communities like bioactive. It’s one of the niche communities I miss from reddit.

This is the exact reason I follow this community. You are so awesome for putting in the work!

This is awesome. I hope you guys don't mind, heres a link to one of the bigger pro-wrestling "subs" on the fediverse. It's on Kbin instead of Lemmy, but there's more than a few Lemmy users among us. Here's the link:

sloonark, in Men's Liberation - A Place to Discuss Men's Issues With A Focus On Intersectionality

I like the idea behind the community but it is a terrible name. Without reading an explanation, most people would assume it was some toxic, misogynistic group. I only know what it refers to because I bothered reading some of the comments here.

I’m sure there are much better names, such as Positive Masculinity for example.

All this did for me was escalate the memes on here enough to finally make me block c/memes and various imitations…

Great! Nice to see more and more Reddit equivalents popping up in the fediverse!

i had to unsubscribe from !technews @radiation.party because it is borderline spam.

i am not talking about quality of the posts, lot of these links are quite interesting, but there is so many of them that it just took over my feed and i want to see something else occasionally :D

there should be a feature to subscribe to community but exclude it from feed, or somehow limit it to max x posts per y time or something…

HidingCat, in [META] Creating a new community is easy, but to get people on board, you need to create some content.

Also to everyone creating a community, it takes time. Don't get too discouraged if uptake is slow!

@Catch42@kbin.social avatar

I only have so many interesting things to say. I don't really want to post for the sake of generating content, so making 5-10 posts right off the bat seems like the wrong way to go about it. I think it'd be better to make one post a day or one every other day or so that anyone who comes in can see that it's recently active.

What is hard too, is if all the posts to get things started are the mods or creator, the same ghost town might occur. It’s hard to tell or know what will be interesting to get people talking so to speak. Some should also be put on the subscribers as well who also have an interest. It’s a double edge sword sometimes.
