Omega_Haxors, (edited ) Sub for sub is a pretty standard social contract between upstarts. It looks beneath you because your livelihood isn’t going up against goliaths.
Classy, I remember old YouTube having these kinds of exchanges. I would get DMs asking for a five star rating on a video they uploaded about some relevant topic in exchange for a likewise five star rating. I miss those days
Sakychu, Sub for sub?
cupcakezealot, seems legit tbh
TragicNotCute, We goof on this person, but in my experience this kind of shameless begging usually works to some degree.
roofuskit, Which is why it should be reported.
Honytawk, I’d go out of my way to give a negative review stating that they wanted to bribe me into giving a positive review.
If multiple people did that, you’d see that nobody trusts the reviews anymore.
peter, Upvote my comment and I’ll upvote yours
haui_lemmy, „Fake it til you make it“
There is a debate to be had about how far this is morally acceptable. If you‘re trying to promote your nonprofit and ask friends to ask their friends to look at it I‘d say thats fine.
But asking bluntly for fake reviews is not ok imo. I‘d report this person immediately. I‘d rather make a nice post on every social media platform that fits my topic and plainly ask folks for feedback. This just seems lazy and uninspired.
But you do you.
Dasnap, (edited ) This reminds me of heart4heart levels in LittleBigPlanet.
prongs, I miss that game. Not much tickles the same creativity and playfulness that I’ve tried since then. I used to spend hours in the level creator doing dumb stuff.
