I mean… the price of the houses are very low

…and no taxes.

I am legitimately sick of Tattooine. Despite supposedly being a remote criminal hideout in the outer rim, it feels more like the center of the goddamn galaxy than fucking Coruscant. The Skywalker saga, Obi-Wan series, Mandalorian/BoBF, even a good chunk of KotOR took place there.

I swear they just teased another video game and mentioned it would be a featured location. WHY?? Use Jakku or one of like 50 million other planets.

(Yes I read the other cynical responses, this is mostly rhetorical)

Igloojoe,

Tatooine has some cool history that i wish they explored. (Anyone more knowledged, please clarify).

Tatooine used to be a lush green planet. Something happened, like 10,000+ years bby ago, that cut off the planet from the force. Turning it into a lifeless desert planet. The planet has inferior metals. There’s no reason for anyone to be living there.

Even though it’s cut off from the force, something still draws everything to the planet… (OOC, it’s just cheaper to film in the desert than building a set, as said before)

Deconceptualist,

I thought Knights of the Old Republic took place around -10k BBY. It was very much a desert planet in that game.

Igloojoe,

Kotor is around 4k bby. That’s why i said 10k. Becuase i wanted to give it time for it to convert to a desert, while also still having the cave.

Deconceptualist,

Ok thanks for the correction. I should have checked Wookieepedia first.

Sylver,

Look at that, a galaxy full of single-biome planets!

Piemanding,

I swear one of them had another biome. Well scratch that; JarJar was from there.
