Anyone know what happened to unilem.org? It was my main lemmy instance for several weeks, then it just went poof. It’s been down I think over a week....

So with the ever increasing news that GameFAQs is getting full fandom’d, I figured I would grab some of the more useful guides for when I want to play a “retro” game or just 100% a LAD. From quick research, it looks like the txt guides are more than covered but the HTML ones are still kind of in a void....

How can it possibly be, that an ISP, which I’m paying for gets to decid, which sites I’m allowed to have access to, and which not?...

This isn’t meant to start a war in the comments....

TL;DW: The “just buy everyone a car” instead of subsidising transit argument doesn’t work. Even on the least cost efficient bus routes it doesn’t make sense. Also “demand responsive transit” is worse than fixed routes.

Not necessarily piracy, but I realise that it might be the only option....
