They’re also wild (or at least look to be) and that gives an impression that they might also be kinky, or at least give a great sexual experience… whereas barbie girls are usually just for show.

In either case, both the barbie girl and the big tiddy goth gf are (generally) of no use in the household. One is for show, the other one is for sexual pleasure, but neither of them can be classified as good partners (in general… doesn’t mean it’s true for all). They usually care more about their style (appearance) than anything else.

So, to iterrate, it’s fun having them around if you’re a young adult, if you want a gf for show or maybe a little on the wild side, maybe a tigress in bed, etc… but… when it comes to actually marrying one, usually, none of them is them is the right choice. You want a partner that will be by your side and cherish what you both have? Go to a market or a convenient store at 9AM on a Sunday. Those are the people that know what responsibilities are and will always be there for you.

Once again, this is a generalization… doesn’t mean everything is like I described it… this is more of a past experiences sort of a thing, mainly my experiences.

I never have. Just thinking about WiFi and Bluetooth drivers on random laptops still puts me into a full flashback state. (My first experience was back in 2002, I think?)

To get it to work in Windows I literally had to go to a website that was only Chinese, download a zip file, and extract a dll that would then work when pointed to.

It’s called manual driver install in Windows… pretty common with older hardware.

Try rutracker.org or rutracker.ru. It may take a few days, up to a week sometimes, but they mostly have the latest releases from dance music. The most active though on rutracker.org is the Psytrance community, so the genres you mentioned might not get the latest stuff posted frequently.

There are a lot of benefits to it, like no real central leadership (more like central steering, not really iron fisted dictators which is what most implementations of it turned out to be), abolishing the monetary system (if implemented all the way), communes decide for themselves, good free healthcare, people are at the center of the system, not money/profit, etc.

Well, for one, it’s network attached storage. If it’s not present in the network for one reason or another, guess what, your OS doesn’t boot… or it errors during boot, depending on how the kernel was compiled and what switches your bootloader sends to the kernel during boot. Second, this is an easy way for malware to spread, especially if it’s set to run after user logon.

Why didn't anyone remind me the dual booting exists?

I was talking to my dad yesterday and he talked about how he dual booted windows and Linux in his college days. I immediately left to download Ubuntu, I feel so dumb for forgetting it’s an option. Have to agree on that. SSD and RAM prices have gone down significantly.

Systemd has gone way and beyond what was supposed to be a replacement for init.rc.

Most important thing… not ALL Linux distros include systemd as the default init system. That’s the beauty of Linux (and POSIX in general), you can choose.

Is there any way I can make an old XMMS plugin work in any modern player?

Long story short, I learned there is an XMMS release of a plugin I use in Winamp for music playback (mp3PRO). Sadly, I recoded most of my music to mp3PRO back in the day, and now I’m stuck using Winamp, even on Linux. I like the player, wouldn’t change it, but I wanted to switch to something native, like Audacious or Qmms....

Yeah, but that will be their second conversion thus far… 3rd if you count the original CD it was ripped from 😔. I do wanna avoid that.

It was hard for me at first, grasping how to bring up and educate him… it didn’t come naturally for me. But my mom was a lot of help, she gave me a lot of pointers and I just started building on that 😉.

And this only gets worse, since audio file tags (and I believe video files as well 🤔) include album art nowadays, so it has an icon that is the album art… exe’s also have custom icons, so 🤷…
