That is how they approached the problem, FB approached it differently 🤷.
Of course, the crowd you want to cater to also matters. FB and Reddit have a completely different crowd, thus, Reddit would have lost a substantial portion of it’s users is it approached it like FB did.
That’s normal for people that didn’t grow up in the 70s and 80s and GUI wasn’t the first thing they knew. I was a teen in the late 90s and early 00s, so yeah, we had GUIs for almost everything.
We’re basically trying to do catchup with the cool kids, but let’s face it, they live somewhat in the past regarding modifier keys and vi/vim.
I don’t think you can add modifier keys in shortcuts.
And this behavior should come out of the box, not me changing stuff around so I can make it usable. For something that I use all the time, sure, but I only use a terminal text editor with git, and I don’t use git that often. For everything else, I use a GUI text editor (mousepad, leafpad, whatever).
As long as I get to use modifier keys, almost anything is fine with me. We don’t live in the 70s, that was 50 years ago. If backwards compatibility is what they’re after, I’m sorry but I think they overdid it. Plus, you can just add them, the defaults don’t need to be changed.
Yeah, but the whole point was not to get triggered. The ones that did were roasted to hell and back. Now, everyone’s a snowflake, everyone has rights, don’t make fun of this, don’t make fun of that 😒… I mean… it’s humor man, get over it.
Everyone is entitled to rights, there is no question there, but humor is humor man. You don’t like it, leave. Banning something just because a certain group of people doesn’t like it is not right IMO.
You get to write your own drivers from scratch, so you know for sure no one is spying on you 👍.
Linux took off because, one, it wasn’t backed up by an institution or a company, just one guy doing weird stuff with his computer, and two, because of the license. People don’t like investing time in something that others might use for free in their commercial products. And not only that, but they’re not bound by law to release the source for that. And this is the reasson why every printer out there runs a BSD variant, not Linux.
That is true, but only if you’re looking for a relationship. Yes, women are picky when it comes to relationships (well, men as well, now that I think about it). If you’re honest upfront and just state that you’re not looking for something serious, just fun, trust me, women are a lot more open to those one night stands than relationships. Why? There are no strings attached. She gets off, you get off, hell, you don’t even have to buy her dinner or anything, just go over to her place or a motel, whatever, and just have a few drinks, smoke some weed, whatever, to get in the mood. After that, you/she leaves and that’s that. The idea is that there are no strings attached from the start, and that’s what’s attracting about this scneario. You don’t put too much effort into it. After that, she can go about her dating as if nothing happened. You bump into her at the store, you pretend you don’t know her… she gives you scared look maybe, like “please, I’m with my bf here, don’t ruin it 😬” and of course, you don’t. Why? Cuz she might break up with him and give you another booty call. Plus, it’s not fair, she was just trying to blow off some steam, so were you, what’s done is done, no need for everyone to know that.
Oh, and don’t mingle with married women… unless they’re some cockold couple or something like that. In any other case, married women are off the table. They usually have jelous/controlling husbands and you’re just asking for trouble fixing up a hookup with that woman. Always ask upfront if she’s married. She might lie, but hell, at least you asked and if you ever get that late night call from her hubby, you can always say that - I asked, she said she wasn’t married 🤷. If she’s married, drop her. That’s litelarly the only time you say no to a woman wanting a hookup.
The upper paragraph is for single men only. If you’re married, the ONLY women you actually want to hook up with are married ones. Why? She’s got as much to loose as you do if she decides to reveal the affair… so you both keep quiet.
Yes, you can write Serbian in latin, but not on any documents… as in, you can do it, but informally.
You are correct about the politics part. Serbs and Croats understand each other perfectly, so do Bosnisnas. The odd balls out were Slovenian and Macedonian, with Slovenian (IMO) being a little bit harder to decypher than Macedonian.
But, they can be somewhat strict. They have their own rules and if the package doesn’t follow the guidelines, it won’t get accepted (most probably). Still, you can make your own repo with the template.
