Yeah that’s initially why I thought there was no difference to Spanish. But the difference is Spanish actually doesn’t have an option where you switch subject and verb. Didn’t know that :)

Doesn’t make it less confusing, because basically noone uses and teaches it like that. But hey if you think it’s practical you do you. I just think it isn’t, which is probably also why it vanished. I’m happy it hasn’t been a trend in the german gendering style.

That kinda makes it sound like she is either nonbinary or a group of people tbh. Not here to rant on it or anything, but I also misunderstood it.

I prefer just using the name if I’m unsure, otherwise it really gets confusing for most people whose native language is not English. We have to find a middle ground between accessibility and respect to the individual imo.

    Tbh it’s kina confusing if you’re not a native english speaker. Also makes it hard to differentiate between singular and plural. Dunno if it’s an upgrade in that way. I mean can’t there just be a new word for it?

    They contribute context? And if you have women in your life it affects you as well somehow. Tbf there’s wasn’t really anything new in it for me personally, but mb it helps someone else to be more empathetic.

    Considering most deaths (by animals) are caused by mosquitos, it’s a fair risk to take imo. Glad they were successfull. Hopefully this will not cause the creation of more dangerous viruses in the end.
