Anticorp, to memes in Funds

"Oh BTW, we gave the stadium to some wealthy dude, and he’ll keep all of the money the stadium makes. Don’t worry though, your tax dollars will pay for the upkeep.

Anticorp, to science_memes in Hummingbird feet

There’s nothing trivial about bar room disagreements. People die over those. That professor just saved someone’s life.

Anticorp, to linuxmemes in A repost from r/linuxmemes - Because I saw the original comic

It’s a bit extreme to say Ubuntu sucks ass. Ubuntu brought Linux to the masses.

Anticorp, to calvinandhobbes in 30 December 1986

Finances. It costs money to run the heater, and working class families are on really regimented budgets. A difference of $30-$50 in your power bill can really mess things up when you’re living on a strict budget.

Anticorp, to upliftingnews in Leave Texas and other Draconian states and risk getting pulled over for driving pregnant? Nope, just have the pills mailed from California.

Heya, it sounds like they’re trying to influence matters of state. TAX THEM.

Anticorp, to memes in Almost got me there Google!

People: “Can we please get some government regulation against all this spying?”

The government: “Best we can do is some tax cuts for Google.”

Anticorp, to science_memes in Cool S

What an asshole.

Anticorp, to privacyguides in Perfectly legal for cars to harvest your texts, call logs

Ideally people just don’t buy cars that require subscriptions. That’s what happened with BMW’s terrible subscription model and BMW stopped doing that shit. The only way to make companies stop doing shitty things is to stop giving them money when they do those things.

Anticorp, to science_memes in Its diving speed during flight is more than 300 km (186 miles) per hour, making it not only the world’s fastest bird but also the world’s fastest animal.

They will too! My neighborhood murder is enormous, and they keep the airspace clear of bald eagles. If an eagle ever dares enter our neighborhood, the crows flock out of the trees by the hundreds and chase that motherfucker off, cawing all the way. When they’re done, they all return to the trees and caw for a good half hour afterwards. My guess is they’re talking about how bad ass they are.

Anticorp, to memes in Some days are better than others

But they had unpleasant young lives.

So did a lot of people, but they didn’t get a billion dollars for their troubles.

Anticorp, to asklemmy in What is the least SEO-fucked search engine?

They’re not trying to be helpful, they’re trying to guide you towards a product or towards content they control that they think you will be more engaged with. They also give results that will lead to more searches, and therefore more ad exposure for their business.

Anticorp, to privacyguides in The state of open source SMS messagers

If you message cross-platform from Android to iOS, and you can’t get everyone to agree upon a 3rd party app, then you’re kind of stuck with sms. This isn’t a problem that is going away in the near future. Apple relies on their locked messaging platform to influence their users into thinking iOS is the best. The users then pressure all of their friends to get iPhones too. It’s an effective strategy for them. Very few iPhone users seem to understand the games being played.

Anticorp, to science_memes in really makes you think...

When I was a kid I was convinced that I could do it if I honed my mind sharp enough, and mastered my body. I’m still not convinced that it’s impossible, because I didn’t have the discipline to achieve perfection.

Anticorp, to memes in Metal must have some sort of restorative property

One could even say it sounds like “incoherent mumbling”.

Anticorp, to comicstrips in My Dad is Dracula (and a Cubicle)

Plus you’re stuck using your stupid laptop keyboard unless you want to lug a keyboard and mouse around. It’s really sucky for people who have carpal tunnel and need special mice and keyboards.
