If you like it, then use it. There’s no point in jumping every time some new framework comes out. Most of them don’t last. I have used React off and on since it came out, and I personally don’t like how the syntax has changed. My personal website is React and doesn’t have any browser history issues. Idk what’s up with Facebook history management. I guess they just don’t care very much because they’re too busy trying to gobble up data.
I work as a contractor, been working here for 9 years, had the same contract company all that time… Except until recently when the contract came up for bid and the old company was outbid by another. Lucky for me, they’re keeping all the same people, positions, and whatnot. I like my job, I look forward to the change, I just...
It takes more experience to understand why. Just keep at it. In a year you’ll look back at your previous work and cringe with how bad it was, but you’ll understand exactly what makes it bad, and with determination and self-education, you won’t be making those mistakes anymore.
I’ve been wondering if we’re losing users. My “Everything” feed sorted by Active is full of posts with zero comments, and a great deal of them are just news article links that were probably automated.
When I was a kid I was convinced that I could do it if I honed my mind sharp enough, and mastered my body. I’m still not convinced that it’s impossible, because I didn’t have the discipline to achieve perfection.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but the lyrics you wrote are the only lyrics to the entire song that I know, and I’ve always thought it was just some weird gibberish. Granted, I’ve never actively listened to it or sought it out, I’ve only heard it in passing.
ChatGPT behaves very much like the AI we’ve seen in fiction. You can use it pretty much exactly like the crew of the Starship Enterprise uses the ship’s computer.
I use it for programming a lot too. You have to explain everything to it like you would a brand new engineer, and then it is often wrong with certain parts like you said. But if you know enough about coding to figure out where it’s wrong, and just write those parts yourself, it can still be a huge time saver.
They will too! My neighborhood murder is enormous, and they keep the airspace clear of bald eagles. If an eagle ever dares enter our neighborhood, the crows flock out of the trees by the hundreds and chase that motherfucker off, cawing all the way. When they’re done, they all return to the trees and caw for a good half hour afterwards. My guess is they’re talking about how bad ass they are.
For one glorious summer I was a small boat sailing instructor at a summer camp. My life was sitting on the beach and teaching kids to sail. I had a wonderful tan, and sun bleached hair. My life was stress free and wonderful. I got into it by learning how to sail at that very camp, and applying for the job. It paid minimum wage, but it also came with free room and board, and I was a kid, so I didn’t really need any money anyways.
I’m a long-time Transmission user but I just learned that VPN killswitches are a thing (how did it take me so long!?). I would like to try another client which has this feature in case I forget to launch my VPN client before opening Transmission. Does anybody have any recommendations? Deluge? QBittorrent? Or any others?...
If you’re using Nord VPN then you can enable a kill switch directly in the VPN through a console command which is documented on the Nord docs. It works, I tested it.
