Same. I have zero performance issues with Gnome, but I’m using a badass $3000 custom gaming computer.

I would say that they’re worse than local hardware stores. Not only is it really difficult to get help in a Home Depot, but they rarely have any even remotely specialized. Lets say you need a specialized gasket to fix your bidet. Home Depot probably doesn’t have it, and if they do, they’ll make you search for it for an hour, and then make you buy 12 of them for $10. The local hardware store will have a little white haired dude who knows exactly what you need, exactly where it is, will explain how to prevent it from going bad again, and will sell you one gasket for 37 cents.

I had a babysitter like that. One girl literally kicked my ass when I refused to go to bed, as in she kicked me right in the ass and told me more was coming if I didn’t get. Just like with Calvin, it worked. I went to bed and shut up.

I guess what the pictures don’t convey is how fucked up the people are, and how awful the ambient sound and sights are. This is a video someone made of Philadelphia at night, and it’s quite shocking.

Edit: they also don’t convey the scope of the problem. This homeless in L.A. goes on for mile after mile. There’s a video out there of someone driving through Skid Row in L.A. and it’s like 10 miles long. It is absolutely unbelievable to me how big the problem is.

Oh, I gotcha now. Yes, I guess it’s really just too clean, and the people too sane, which is a result of it being thrown together in under a week, on a limited budget.
