It gives you both, but at what cost? If you have a spouse or child, that’s probably not going to happen again in round two. You’re going to make different decisions that take you on a different life path. Even if you made the same decisions, is your significant other actually going to fall in love with you when you’re going on the first date with 10 years of history already? You’re not going to bring that new relationship energy with you and you’re going to seem weird since you already know them so well. Even if you win them over, you won’t have the same kid. The odds of the same sperm finding the same egg are millions to one, possibly even higher since you probably won’t do it on that exact day. What about all your lifelong friends? Are you actually going to form meaningful relationships at 6 or 10 years old when you have the mind of a 30 year old, or whatever you are by that time? Probably not. I think the cost to go back would be very high.

Anticorp,

I’m sorry you lost your soulmate.

Anticorp,

European plugs are too big and bulky for our liking.

Anticorp,

It’s already behind a paywall. You can’t access ChatGPT-4 without paying.

Anticorp,

I think it’s like anything on the modern web, they’ll lose money until they reach a critical mass of users who get accustomed to using ChatGPT in their day-to-day life, and then they’ll kill the free tier.

Anticorp,

Microsoft has free tier Office tools because they’re data brokers now. TMK they didn’t always have free Outlook, it was bundled in Office, which cost money. I don’t see ChatGPT remaining free forever, it costs too much to run. I could be wrong though, depending on how much valuable data they can scrape from it.

Anticorp,

So you study law to become an accountant? I figured you’d study law to become a lawyer, and study accounting to become an accountant.

Anticorp,

You don’t seem very fun.

Anticorp,

It’s amazing watching young adults discover that their new fad is a rehash of concepts that are decades old.

Anticorp,

I always thought it was just a misspelling of OMG. LOL

Exactly. I just had this argument with a couple of friends who were raised rich white kids, in the rich white neighborhood. They were criticizing me for appropriating black vernacular, and wouldn’t believe me that my entire neighborhood and school spoke that way. It’s inter-urban (poor) slang, not specifically black. Most of my neighborhood was Mexican, yet they all used these terms. Granted, they have different inflections on the words, but the vocabulary is pretty much the same. Anyways, now I have friends accusing me of racism for speaking the way I’ve spoken my entire life. I just hadn’t loosened up enough to speak that way around them before. Ain’t identity politics grand?

Anticorp,

Use them ironically with someone close to you. They’re quite contagious. They will rapidly grow on you until you find yourself using them unironically too. Just don’t use them in situations where professionalism is expected, or clarity is important.

Anticorp,

For funsies. Or because it will help you appreciate the words instead of resenting them. That’s why I did it. It’s just a suggestion though. You know what works for you.

Anticorp,

Perhaps.

Anticorp,

Data is worth more than gold, and much easier to mine.

Anticorp,

I guess it can, but it’s not a common symptom.

Anticorp,

This is the most true story I’ve ever read.

Anticorp,

Especially if some digital imagery is projected onto your face.

I think the high price of housing will eventually prevent most individuals from buying a rental property, and like every other industry, the immensely wealthy corporations will take over. My last landlord paid $800 per month for her mortgage on the place. If someone wanted to buy a comparative property to rent out today, their mortgage would be closer to $5400 per month. There aren’t a lot of people who could commit to that. The ladders are being pulled up.

Anticorp,

I regret to inform you that I have experience with this in the middle of summer.

Anticorp,

That reminds me of this:

“Of course your keys are always in the last place you look! Why would you keep looking after you find them?”
