Do you feel like you ever got over the initial setup period? A lot of what you are describing is what I encounter after a fresh install but I don’t typically have any issues after a little bit of tweaking.

This was a few months ago so I can’t recall a lot of the specifics unfortunately.

What I can recall was using a 90w Ali Express soldering iron with a conical tip to solder a damaged original Xbox controller cable. The leaded solder seemed slow to melt on the tip but wouldn’t melt to the wire when I applied heat on the under side.

Sorry I can’t tell you more. I was looking to do some practice this weekend and wanted to know if I should be ordering a thicker tip or something.

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up using both of those when attempting this and ended up with a lumpy cold solder looking connection.

Without the the flux I wasn’t able to heat the line enough to get the solder to melt.

Will something be done about moderators owning 50+ magazines/communities and counting? Already seeing power mods migrate from Reddit trying to hoard as many communities as possible.

Do you think they are actively trying to become moderators of those communities or is there a chance they're trying to recreate the subreddits they're accustomed to?

What is your favorite life hack that has saved you money, time, or made your day-to-day activities easier?

These might be kind of lame or obvious

  • Looking for open source software. I'd rather use Antenna Pod instead of Spotify for podcasts instead of paying for an app or subscription that may not be reliable.
  • Drinking water when tired. It kept my hands busy and helped me cut back on smoking.
  • Learning to solder helped me buy less replacement electronics.

This is going to be interesting in the long term for a lot of subreddits when people sort by top posts. Similar to when ever sub had a net neutrality post stickied
