People here are talking about fishes as our food source but what about fishes as a food source for other aquatic life? Or other animals that feed on those marine life? The effects can be far reaching. So the implication of a fish dying from plastic is a bit more complicated than what OP’s making it out to be
For those who are wondering if this picture is real or not, I couldn’t say. But I have seen a fair share of misspellings and bad grammar written on trucks about similar sentiments in Nevada (seeing where the license in the picture belongs to). The take away of this is that usually there is a correlation between education and conspiracies (believing in misinformation), and it’s a very real, serious issue in this country.
I think that lesson definitely applies to us average folks. But the bigger lesson here is to not trust billionaires. You would have to be a special kind of asshole to reach the status of a billionaire
If I could freeze time, I would honestly use it to just have as much time to do nothing as I wanted without missing out on real time events. I wouldn’t even use it for anything else
I remember the reaction that I had when I watched this scene in the theater. I was awestruck and confused. The whole scene perfectly described the tone it had for me for the rest of the movie, a fever dream.
I’ve eaten rice all my life and was taught to wash rice before cooking it. I’ve seen and eaten the starchiness that happens when not washing it and the difference is very noticeable. Rice was very gooey and starchy when not washed, versus a nice firm and chewy rice you would get from a restaurant when you do wash. Also washing it can clean out any bugs or dirt. It just made sense imo
