The colour was named after the fruit actually, originally people said “orange-coloured” then just shortened that to “orange”

Fun fact, “orange” was first used as a colour in the sixteenth century and prior to that many orange-coloured objects were referred to as red.

No, since people can just wire you money. Then, if you return it, they can attempt to use that transaction to prove dirty money is clean. If it is clean in the first place, they should be able to provide documentation.
