DebatableRaccoon,

Sadly this “own nothing and be happy” world only exists for those who don’t make hundreds of thousands for the great gift of destroying the world for everybody else.

DebatableRaccoon,

I stand by the conclusion no matter the reason at this point. Bunch of scum the lot of them

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Doesn’t sound like you were looking in the right places

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

I will just advise that in that circumstance, you’ll likely end up replaying the whole game if you grab the DLC later. Both muscle-and-regular memories will have faded by that time that late-game will be challenging to come back to even jf you’ve spec’d to be OP at the time. Not saying there’s anything wrong with replaying, only making sure you know to expect to.

I played the game just after launch and did a modded replay in prep for Phantom Liberty but it took so long for some of the mods I now deem important to get updated that I ended up deciding to replay yet again.

DebatableRaccoon,

I know what the meme is. The comment is supposed to be a satirical state on the reality that many people think they’re still buying something when they pay Steam, PSN or what have you.

DebatableRaccoon,

I didn’t know the name of that breed but it’s what I was thinking of at first then there was just something that put me off that idea. Figured I’d better ask once I rewatched and noticed the cage

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Frankly, the sentiment is mutual because your first message absolutely read as judgmental and my reasoning makes no difference to your initial attitude. You might notice this whole comment thread has been going on for multiple days and there might possibly be multiple reasons I didn’t know it was a fox to begin with. I realised what I was looking at once the first comment told me it was a fox. From there Slow didn’t need to fill me in any further but still did so I thanked them but misspoke because I happened to think it was a good idea to check Lemmy and hammered up a quick answer at a bad time because I knew I’d forget otherwise. I’ll now make sure to fix that for your pleasure. From there, there was zero reason to stick your nose in to sound bigger than someone else. Get this; even though I like animals, I don’t necessarily spend my time learning about all of them because they aren’t in my primary interests. I’ve heard of arctic foxes and when I did I looked up a single picture of one many years ago. Somewhere along the way the arctic fox and the silver fox - which doesn’t look as friendly as arctic foxes - have formed a weird amalgamation in my head. If I’d seen this fox in the right context I would have instantly known what it was but that wasn’t the case here.

The reason for my initial attitude was because your message read - and still does - as if you were implying I was dumb for not knowing something obvious to you and not because I felt dumb. At this point, your plethora of edits only reads as someone who’s realised they were being a prick, first had the instinct to set it right then just had to give in to your own hubris to once again try put me down. I know for a fact that I know things you don’t and vice versa. That’s life. I have better things to spend my time on that getting put down by someone who feels the need to flaunt their own understanding of something that doesn’t serve in everyday life. So I’m sorry that I asked in the pursuit of overcoming my ignorance, I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen in your presence again. Hopefully, I’ve now justified my own obliviousness to his highness. Have a nice day.

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Well it’s a good thing my life isn’t made to serve an obtuse cunt like you then. You’ll just have to filled out your bored periods talking down to someone else. Have a nice day

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Thank you. I had no idea arctic foxes could be so friendly so and it didn’t even occur to me when I asked.

Edit: minor adjustment to avoid confusion from judgmental know-it-alls

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Right, this I-can-do-no-wrong attitude is getting tiresome. You keep throwing this shit at me that I’m getting defensive but it’s more than obvious you’re deflecting. I couldn’t give less of a mild shit about your correction. The problem is the way you approach people, the way you twist events so that anyone disagreeing with what you’re saying systematically means they feel bad about themselves like they’re a lesser being. The problem is you.

Let me highlight the problem area: “But it looks exactly like an Arctic Fox

Something doesn’t look “exactly like” something they’re unfamiliar with, yet you took it upon yourself to talk down to someone.

Yeah man, my bad. Didn’t mean to sound judgemental.” I never said you were being judgmental at this point which means this was your own conclusion from a re-read of your comment after my response.

it’s okay to not know stuff. Lack of knowledge does not make you stupid. However, getting defensive because someone knew something you didn’t, definitely does. Then you rethought it. You chose to try throw the whole thing in my face and doubled down on the judgment with a hearty side dose of patronization and make it out to be just me who has misinterpreted your initial message to be judgmental despite having acknowledged it coming across as that way yourself.

If you had left that first sentence out of your initial message, I would have noticed my fuck up and simply responded “Oh shit, I screwed up my message. I know animals can be friendly. I’ll go fix my message. Thanks for pointing it out” and we’d both have gone on with our days. But you just had to start it by being a know-it-all dick. My mistake was a simple blunder which I have acknowledged but you just keep finding ways to manipulate this response thread to make me out as this toddler throwing a tantrum for having been wrong. It doesn’t get any simpler; the problem is you, not the correction, Y-O-U.

Now, I’m done spelling simple shit out to you. The userbase of Lemmy is still on the small side and I like to think that one day I’ll come across a comment from you that I’ll enjoy but one more of your manipulative attempts to twist my reaction and I’ll happily block your ass.

DebatableRaccoon,

Sorry to say this but the question reads a bit dense when you’re presently in a different pirating community from the one you’re complaining about but still asking where to ask. You know this isn’t reddit, right?

DebatableRaccoon,

A fair question but I’m afraid I don’t play mobile games so can’t help with sources. Sorry.

DebatableRaccoon,

Agreed. I won’t provide a link for the sake of not getting the site tarnished but I’ll just say I’ve been attending a certain party that has proven decently reliable.

DebatableRaccoon,

I don’t really care if you find what I say convincing but to make this as simple as possible, name one time it’s considered good to be identified as narcissistic. And please let’s stay relevant and leave out physical disabilities. Only assholes insult the two you named.

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Forgive me if this isn’t what you’re looking for but there’s the !celebnsfw community that has a good amount of film/tv clips.

DebatableRaccoon,

Aaand there’s the insult. Well done invalidating your already flimsy argument. Have a nice day

DebatableRaccoon,

Exactly this. I’m getting plenty of downvotes and people claiming I’m talking crap but when I tried the Linux gaming life, I couldn’t even get Minecraft to work. Freaking Minecraft. And it only continued downhill from there. I make no claim that it’s not possible to game on Linux, only that it’s often such a chore that your entire planned gaming session can end up being a session of reading through forums filled with snide comments from pretentious Linux fanboys instead. I started as a console gamer and the fear of PC gaming was always that PC gaming can be a nightmarish tinker fest but Windows is much more click-and-play than Linux in my-and-most-people’s experience.

DebatableRaccoon,

And that’s 2023 on the phone, it would like its uncomfortable facts shown.

DebatableRaccoon,

Cool. Have fun with that philosophy.

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

This is precisely why I’ve always waited for the GOTY version to release (or whatever other subtitle they slap on the box) but through all of their BS I find I’m less and less willing to part with my money. Certain companies have become a no-fly zone for me and that list is only growing longer.

DebatableRaccoon,

But if they expand their storage in the meantime then re-encode later, they’ll have even more space freed up. Something about stonks, I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

DebatableRaccoon,

That’s what I saw in a reddit post way back but updating and reinstall never fixed it. I was using YT on browser for a while just because it was more reliable and didn’t have ads. UI sucked ass though. Ky biggest critique on Grayjay so far is the lack of vertical swipes to adjust volume/brightness.

DebatableRaccoon,

As lemann pointed out there’s a setting for that in the YT add-on im the sources tab, not the app settings. Also myself and others have had loading issues with Revanced. It’ll start playing, suddenly start buffering and never stops. Grayjay works as it should and still has the settings I want from Revanced. Not to argue, just want to let others in my situation know Grayjay is the upgrade we need.

DebatableRaccoon,

Reminds me of Brad Pitt’s character in The Big Short.
