Domille,

Found ours in a parking lot, with her neck torn up to shreds, one of her toes broken, and a gash on one of her back legs. We also thought that she was well fed… she wasn’t. She was very skinny and pregnant.

Took thousands of dollars in vet bills, and about 11 months to heal her back up to full + 5 years to figure out that she has an autoimmune disease that causes her skin to flare up and become very itchy and uncomfortable. She will be on meds for the rest of her life + always wear a neck protection band and a shirt to keep her from tearing herself up again. It is all worth it though, because she is the sweetest little fur ball in existence. Worth every penny, all effort.

Domille,

how do I delete someone else’s post…

Domille,

would be perfect for me, sans the guest entertainment… unless said guest entertainment includes hissing at the guests as I retreat back into my hobbit hole until they leave.

Domille,

I was going to comment about this too, glad that you decided to instead. Incredible things are happening with disclosure. The fact that Chuck Schumer’s bill includes language on definition of non-human intelligence is insane in and of itself. Insane as in, I never thought this would happen ever. Stuff I thought I’d only see in Sci Fi.

Domille,

Right. And you are the only smart person in the room. lol.

You clearly don’t know what’s been happening. Maybe actually look into it a little. Don’t know if it’s aliens, but it sure as hell is something weird.

Domille,

yeah, they were very effective with their misinformation campaign.

Domille,

what in the world is a shadow person?

What are we?

What do Lemmy users call themselves? What do Kbin users call themselves? What about Mast?

So far I can't come up with anything better than "Fediziens"

Domille,

or apparently sh.itheads

There needs to be a step by step migration guide

It was and still is hard - or at least tedious - for me as a software developer to find out how to use the fediverse and lemmy. I can’t imagine how annoying it must be for a normal user. The one thing I really liked about reddit, is that you can find a well written guide for everything, often pinned at the top of a specific...

Domille,

I just wrote a semi-deep dive into Lemmy! open.substack.com/…/the-emergence-of-lemmy-as-an-…

If it is missing anything, or if you have questions, please let me know and I would be happy to update the post!

Domille,

yeah, that's pretty much what happened with Mastodon, as far as I can tell. There are still folks there, but it is much quieter now vs when I first joined it.

Domille,

I feel like people who moved to Lemmy from reddit are really incentivized to help it grow, so I am constantly seeing encouragements for people to interact / upvote / post content, which is great. I think that the community here is very motivated, and so even though there are less people, you get more engagement.
