I found a few movies that I genuinely enjoy that make the (or made at the time this was written and I tried it) bottom quartile. Malibu’s most wanted and “the crew” are movies I don’t skip by (but also never see any more :( ) basically ‘organized crime by the inept’ movies tickle me the right way
I know a secret spot in the green of that map (not in the top half) where houses are less than 500k. But your children will kill themselves (driving) trying to get away from it (literally at least once a year while I was growing up), because it’s so damn boring.
Since I left I’ve heard it’s only gotten worse. The definition of agriculture/commuter town. It didn’t have to be that way but an explosion in the 80s on the other side of the country destroyed it’s hopes for prosperity.
The system is fucked and lacks funding, oh well let’s throw it out. Regan was okay with this because he, and almost all politicians, don’t have to live amidst it. I’m not a fan of electing people who say “it doesn’t work and it doesn’t have a chance of working so let’s not do anything about it”.
There are plenty of examples of systems that work, if ours doesn’t work then I expect elected officials to do something about it, not spit into the wind.
It really is, everyone should reach out to the good people in their lives, doesn’t have to be a parental figure, and let them know they’re appreciated.
I’m very fortunate to have a number of good moms in my life.
Stayed in a 450/night a couple years ago in Berkeley that definitely had a window in the bathroom. It was an older house, and I’m quite sure that some of the rooms didn’t.
Edit (by house I meant mansion/Palace that’s been converted into a 100ish room hotel)
Dude, with my generic af taste you think I’m rolling anything besides windows 7? (Windows 7 on my main work rig, trying to get I.t. to upgrade it, Windows XP on my backup rig. Legacy systems f.t.(killmeplease)w. At home I rock an Asus and a Dell, Windows 10 and 11.
I’m the most generic cis mid 30s child free white guy you could imagine. (งツ)ว
♥️ To you though! (My wife is finally breaking into Linux for some statistical software for her PhD program, she says I’ll enjoy sudo. I do have a steam deck that runs Linux I suppose, so there’s that!)
