ElHexo,

Similarly in Australia there were a lot of symbolic battles that never resulted in serious injury or death.

That said I wouldn’t characterise pre-invasion Australia as great, most of the country is pretty fucking hard to survive in (let alone over 60k years of climate change)

ElHexo,

At least some Dutch food integrated the spices (Speculaas), the Brits have no excuse

ElHexo,

It’s pretty hard to make a 27,000km ring

ElHexo,

Seems like a poor allocation of resources, they’d need a much bigger loop or much better colliders to get anything really interesting out of it

ElHexo,

Brake dust is bad but tire dust is the real issue

Emissions Analytics has found that adding 1,000 pounds to a midsize vehicle increased tire wear by about 20 percent, and also that Tesla’s Model Y generated 26 percent more tire pollution than a similar Kia hybrid. EVs’ more aggressive torque, which translates into faster acceleration, is another factor that creates more tire particulate mile for mile compared to similar internal combustion engine cars.

ElHexo,

And the latest in cheat devices

ElHexo,

I think they were as tall as the Alps are now - because the crust essentially “floats” on the mantle as mountains are eroded (and glaciers slide off), the land gradually rises
