Imgonnatrythis,

Hey Germany, is that a bow tie or a bikini?

Imgonnatrythis,

And how many bottles of water did you buy this week?

Imgonnatrythis,

Clearly a oversight / missed opportunity. You should write a letter.

Imgonnatrythis,

Yeah they have a program - for every redditor I get to join I get 100 free searches. For every Lemmite that joins I get 20.

Imgonnatrythis,

Yes, well aware of this and it is pretty awesome. I would be interested to know more about how to download these though as, #1 - anything Google is fleeting, it’s only some amount of time before these disappear And #2 - I want the freedom to print these in large format or display them digitally on large screens / projectors.

Imgonnatrythis,

Often the difference is only whether you walk away with all your fingers.

Imgonnatrythis,

Look under the table sweetie, I’ll show you what’s up.

  • Imgonnatrythis,

For all practical purposes yes. It sucks, but as you can see, speaking about third parties gets most people pissed off as it’s considered voter suicide / throwing away your vote to vote for an extremely minor third party candidate. The financial support within these two power house parties makes it unlikely this system will ever change. As someone pointed out here, a systematic change like ranked choice voting where third parties could aggregate credit without forcing voters to abandon the two parties they are comfortable with would be the only hope of moving away from the bullshit 2 party system. However, that’s not in the interest of the two parties that already run the government, so never going to happen at scale at least.

    Imgonnatrythis,

When the dog dies because it didn’t get its medication, and you are having the tombstone engraved, all the sudden it will come to you.

    Imgonnatrythis,

Yes, but I do like to do these things sometimes and then pay a penance by not flushing for a week.

    Imgonnatrythis,

You can really appreciate that corn has more yellow after the yellow injection.

    Imgonnatrythis,

Never was able to get approved on this platform and never told me why. I’ve heard it’s quite problematic in US but works better elsewhere.

    Imgonnatrythis,

I’m not suggesting this social media format will die, it’s just likely that a corporate entity will develop a lemmy alternative that becomes more popular and causes fatal atrophy or Reddit will get new leadership and Lemmy hopefuls will cross back over if content development here is slower than the collective patience. I’m pro Lemmy FYI, I just don’t understand the unbridled optimism about it’s future.

    Imgonnatrythis,

Try Kagi. I’m totally hooked. It’s a refreshing search experience and you can rank reddit as a lower level site so it can still come up, but less likely to be at the top of your search list all the time.

    Imgonnatrythis,

I bet if I stopped wearing my helmet at work people would assume I’m faster too, but they probably wouldn’t be as nice to me.

    Imgonnatrythis,

Yup. I love a good microwaved samosa or Chana masala and it’s easier than grilling a frozen chemical burger frankly. I don’t think convenience is a fair argument here. Microwaved Chana is nowhere as good as a freshly made 3hour dish, don’t get me wrong, but there are convenience options that aren’t vegan chicken nuggets.

    Imgonnatrythis,

It all the different alarms spaced very closely together pummelling the OP for not waking up on time.

    Imgonnatrythis,

And I’ll tell my landlord to cut my rent in half so I don’t need two jobs.

    Imgonnatrythis,

One star restaurants are the way. They usually have been so focused on their cuisine at that point they haven’t yet become super pretensious. Plus you actually have a shot at getting a table at these.
