This has not been the case since at least w10, it has a tool to automatically clean several temp files and recycle bin.

I think it's that one. I certainly won't say it's a panacea, but I assume it would have solved the OP's case.

I think real X11 fanboys are almost non-existent. Wayland wouldn't be so rejected if it wasn't that it still has a lot of compatibility issues, I think most people just want everything to work and don't care whose fault it is.

It is possible, but without access to elevated permissions I gather it would be basically useless for anything other than per app redirection.

Yep. In fact my comment seemed so clear to me that I assumed it was some kind of joke, but looking at the votes, maybe swapfiles aren't as well known as I thought.

I've never heard of that, it's beyond me. So it's an increased risk when tweaking the kernel? As an average home user it's all right?

  • Hibernation into swap files backed by Btrfs are now supported.

So, with btrfs on ssd, is there any use case for a swap partition?

Louis Rossman/FUTO's YouTube app, GrayJay, now supports Sponsorblock... and shames you if you use it

Seriously this was very surprising. I’ve been experimenting with GrayJay since it was announced and I largely think it’s a pretty sweet app. I know there are concerns over how it isn’t “true open source” but it’s a hell of a lot more open than ReVanced. Plus, I like the general design and philosophy of the app....

Same for me, and it's not even just about sponsors as there are many other categories. How does it help the creators to tell me for the umpteenth time to subscribe or something about a bell, when I don't even have a google account?

Sponsorblock is a wonder, I wouldn't watch certain channels without it anymore.

The gap is too wide to agree, even between europe and the US there is a radically opposite stance between pro- and anti-consumer rights.

Time to delete my account, before it is considered "suspicious" and I can't even log in without verification.

I don't like wasting space or having to predict how much space I'll be using two years from now, so I prefer the minimum of partitions: efi, boot, and system(luks), with a btrfs subvol for /, home, and swapfile.

How hard do you have to search to find these x11 fanboys? Because whenever this topic comes up, the only detractors I see are users who complain because they can't use wayland for various reasons.

On the other hand those on the other extreme are easier to find, as they always celebrate x11 users (willingly or not) getting screwed; so toxic.

Having to hack even bulbs to avoid being spied on is a new level in dystopia.

It doesn't take an expert to see that the blog's argumentation is absurd and extremely paranoid, if not outright conspiratorial.

I suspect that might be the case with the two sections for corp specific trackers, they seem to focus on some feature of brave. I wonder if firefox and tor mitigate it differently.

It only applies if there is any profit, even if it is a single ad for a single user.

It shouldn't, they are a non-profit foundation that is funded by donations. But take it with a grain of salt.

Are you both bots? How can anyone read that crap and say it's a great breakdown?
It's a single widely known issue, and it can literally be summed up in one short sentence: by default it doesn't use end-to-end encrypted chats, which are also far inferior in functionality.

I've never seen a pro-telegram propagandist, but you anti-telegram propagandists are swarming and very tiresome.
