The games presented the Rotom Pokedex like it was a big technological breakthrough, so I assumed what that means is they were able to miniaturize whatever Rotom required to go into a machine, and put it in the Pokedex, and then your phone.
They do have Federation Standard as a language, which I assume is probably English with lots of words from Vulcan, Andorian, and Tellarite, but not everyone knows it. The problem in that episode though wasn’t that the UT was down, it’s that it was translating what everyone was saying, or reading on consoles, into other languages. I’m sure there were places on the ship we didn’t see, where some historian was so excited to have a use for their pen and paper, so they could communicate through written Federation Standard lol
There was a Vulcan diplomat in Enterprise that T’Pol looked up to, that surprised everyone when she came on board, by actually being diplomatic, and acting more human to get along with the humans. I bet she teaches the class on parties
I hope they do an episode where he plays every character they meet. Maybe he can be a character like Mr. Smith from the Matrix that keeps taking over the bodies of everyone they encounter
The Fleshmancer in Sea of Stars is pretty terrible. He creates giant, potentially world destroying, monsters that feed on different types of despair, and so seek to create those emotions in as many people as possible. He committed one genocide against an entire race, and then trapped them in living death, unable to be seen, or leave his lab. He seems to have committed another genocide, just to make a birthday present for his friend. And this is all on just two planets, when he is acting in the same way across the entire multiverse
