Infynis, to risa in What "sacred Bajoran trinket" do you suppose this is?

I believe that’s actually a Kiwano, also referred to as the Horned Melon, or the African Horned Cucumber. Durians are huge, and a different color. You see these a lot in Star Trek. Sometimes they’re spray painted a crazy colour.

Also, leola root is just spray painted ginger, I’m pretty sure

They absolutely talk about the ships that just got totally owned by whatever science mystery they were working on. Like 30% of the Next Generation is: The crew of the Enterprise stumbles across an empty Star ship, or an abandoned outpost, and have to figure out what happened (and stop it from happening to them!)

Infynis, to memes in Oh, is that so?

I’m pretty sure that’s a message you’d see on a remote desktop, or Kiosk. Both situations where you don’t usually have access to the power cord either

Infynis, to risa in Oh bother, it happened again.

YABI. Why even ask for the second match? Was your initial study incomplete, or, perhaps, flawed? If so, why did you not include that detail in this post? If not, your rendezvous with this old classmate seems like nothing more than an exercise in redundancy at best. I posit that you have fallen victim to the emotion humans refer to as pride. One of their most basic negative emotions, if I correctly recall my ancient human history course.

It is my recommendation that you take a leave of absence from Starfleet. You have clearly spent too much time among humans. A decade or so of meditation in a monastery should help you to reclaim your logic.

Fascinating.

Infynis, (edited ) to risa in Who's the MVP of the MPV's?
@Infynis@midwest.social avatar

Of these, the answer is definitely Solok, but I would like to put forward, Tolaris, the V’tosh ka’tur that assaulted T’Pol in ENT s1e17.

Also, I better not see anyone saying T’Rina. She and Saru are so cute 🥺

Why does it matter if an apple is modified or not?

In general, I am not opposed to GMOs. All those benefits would be great. But in practice, companies aren’t modifying the product to be better for the consumer, they’re modifying it to sell better, and cost less to produce. That basically means bigger, and less diverse, which actually ends up making them less resistant to pests and disease

I loved dumb small subs. It’s really a shame they can’t really exist on Lemmy, at least not yet. I miss MisleadingPuddles
