Realized that with my new job I’m at $500/month for gas. Starting to seriously consider a hybrid or electric but damn they expensive. Either way might just need something more reliable than my 320k+ car....
I currently drive a hybrid escape, ~600 miles per 14.5gal tank, pretty happy with it. Mine has the lane/brake assist but I turned off the lane since my state is so bad at painting lines it was trying to steer me out of lanes due to old lines being still visible or no lines being visible meant it was worthless too. That’s really my only complaint so far, had it 2 years now.
My driving is a mix of city and highway, I average low-mid 40s
Western european countries would definitely do better. Every time I see one of those videos of a guy on the street asking people geography the Americans are completely worthless but and random european is almost perfect. Americans can’t even get their states of our own country correct
Depends if you get the old man or one of the kids, the kids just pull out their phone and look it up in the same app is used only to find that it’s wrong since there is no aisle 57E. Old man will know where it actually is and even explain how to use it well if I want
If you stroll through the real or virtual aisles of a Japanese store, you might find Kit Kats in flavors like salt lemon, caramel pudding, whole grain biscuit, melon, and milk tea. Good luck finding those at Target or Walmart in the US....
That churro one was good too. I pick up the Asian Kit-kats from Asian markets around my city when I stock up on other supplies and they’re fun sometimes.
The only step forward worth the name is the cancellation of all debt, and making higher education government paid. Anything else is an embarrassing stop-gap fine to avoid the only real solution to student debt and lack of access to higher ed. A educated workforce is a skilled and effective workforce, it is literally in our nation’s best interest to educate it’s citizenry as best it is capable, and it’s capable of a lot more than it is currently doing
Nice! Hopefully we can figure out something to do with the ones in the US as well. One of the big ones near me is actually on fire in the lower levels and there is nuclear waste stored in it as well so that’s cool. Probably not suitable for growing a forest on
