JokeDeity, to memes in Have mercy on our souls

I hate this argument, that’s literally what the creators of the format called it. Names of things don’t always follow the rules of English.

JokeDeity, (edited ) to linux in Some of y'all need to see this and drop the superiority complex...

14 versions and they still haven’t got it right? SMH.

JokeDeity, to piracy in The "Steamboat Willie" debacle or: Why IP does us more harm than good

I have zero respect for any IP laws, the one thing I agree with China on. They only serve to inhibit innovation and make the rich richer.

JokeDeity, to memes in Which pill do you choose?

Red for sure, I could have way more than 10 million starting over with all the knowledge I have now, plus I wouldn’t wait so long for certain things.

JokeDeity, (edited ) to piracy in Naming Torrents

As soon as the file finishes downloading it becomes only the name of the movie.filetype

I can’t stand the titles on torrents.

JokeDeity, to piracy in Streaming Pirates Are Hollywood’s New Villains - Illegal subscription services that steal films or TV shows bring in $2 billion a year in ads and subscriber fees.

I just spent like an hour trying several methods to install this on Android, sadly I was not successful. If anyone can inform me on how to install this on Firefox for Android (not a fork), please let me know.

JokeDeity, to piracy in Visits to piracy websites have increased 12% in the past four years

Literally every single time I want to watch any specific movie it’s not on any streaming service without buying or renting, and I don’t mean new or recent movies. So yeah, I’m pirating again.

JokeDeity, to privacy in The Boost android client for Lemmy is displaying these dark pattern ads pretending to be system notifications. What security/privacy conscious Lemmy clients do you recommend?

I really like Voyager.

JokeDeity, to piracy in "Piracy is a service issue.." (Image is a real story btw, link in post)

You’re right, I wouldn’t.

JokeDeity, to piracy in Youtube has better anti-adblock now. Other than Invidious, any way around it? Purging and re-dowloading the ublock stuff didn't work

Like the majority I am using Ublock and Firefox, but I’ve noticed over the last month it is very slow to catch up to YouTube ads and I’m seeing them make it through a lot more often.

JokeDeity, to memes in Everything I need is still in in the old settings windows that haven't changed in 23 years

In 11? I know I still can in 10.

JokeDeity, to piracy in The "Steamboat Willie" debacle or: Why IP does us more harm than good

Raised a good question with this comment, is it assault?

JokeDeity, to piracy in It seems so strange to me that we are locked in battle with providers mining our lives for whatever, and we have to work our asses off trying to stay anonymous, to the point of being denied service

Can someone give me a source to what he’s referring to?

JokeDeity, to privacyguides in How Meta’s New Face Camera Heralds a New Age of Surveillance

When the idiotic masses and paid influencers hop on board like they always do it will spur a bunch of companies to make similar and maybe one of them will be worth buying.

JokeDeity, to piracy in It's funny how google pretends the music on YouTube isn't straight up piracy and everyone just goes along with it

China has the right ideas on copyright. I don’t give two shits if someone steals my music from YouTube, I make it for the joy of making it.
