Like the majority I am using Ublock and Firefox, but I’ve noticed over the last month it is very slow to catch up to YouTube ads and I’m seeing them make it through a lot more often.
When the idiotic masses and paid influencers hop on board like they always do it will spur a bunch of companies to make similar and maybe one of them will be worth buying.
It’s already one of the worst streaming services, there’s nothing I care to watch on there and anything I do want that they have available costs money on top of the membership, plus the UI sucks.
Most people have extremely weird ideas of what’s considered piracy and what isn’t. Downloading a video game rom is piracy, but if you pay money to some Chinese retailer for an SD card containing the roms, that’s somehow not piracy. Exploiting the free trial on a streaming site by using prepaid visa cards is somehow not...
I have a different job, but it hardly affords me food and shelter. If I didn’t live with two other people I’d be homeless and I never have enough to eat properly.
As always, the paying user has the worst experience. “Purchase” a show, can only watch on a certain console of a certain brand, no transfers, no backups, then it suddenly disappears from the library and nothing can be done....
The Voyager community (I use it too), JUST had a post from the developer that he added a feature to post comments as pictures, but I don’t actually know how to do it.
I could never get it to work well, every movie I tried would only play for a few seconds then buffer, then just become unplayable, on very good Internet.

I’m using Windows and only asking here because Google says it’s a Linux thing, but my question is what is a Bluez and why was it trying to connect to my computer at 5AM this morning?
I’ll still never probably fully know what happened, but that was a great reply and I appreciate all your help. Luckily my direct neighbors on both sides are old AF and I trust them to not be doing anything like this because they wouldn’t even know what any of it means, but the sketchy businesses behind us that include a liquor store, vape shop and sex shop among others I can’t say I trust as much. I’m glad Windows was kind enough to ask instead of just connecting. 😂
All the McD*nalds in my area have been upgraded with order kiosks. Regardless of all the controversy around self-checkout, and minimum wage, and automation taking our jobs, I personally love them. I can take my sweet time composing my order, I can see the full selection (such as it is), I can see pictures and prices clearly...
It’s not “the same”, but I’ve been reading Joe vs Elan School and it’s really made me feel better about the shit I went through to read someone else’s story, you should check it out if you think it could help you, plus it’s just a great story.
Eh, I DEFINITELY don’t care about this enough to make a Reddit account, wait two weeks so I can send a private message, wait an indeterminate amount of time for the guy who posted it to find my message and MAYBE reply (assuming his account isn’t banned, which is unlikely since this is Reddit), or post hundreds of spam comments to get enough karma to meet whatever that sub calls their karma requirements. If no one has the source I guess I’ll just never know.
Youtube has better anti-adblock now. Other than Invidious, any way around it? Purging and re-dowloading the ublock stuff didn't work

It seems so strange to me that we are locked in battle with providers mining our lives for whatever, and we have to work our asses off trying to stay anonymous, to the point of being denied service
or even pseudo-incriminated for attempting to maintain our own life....

It's funny how google pretends the music on YouTube isn't straight up piracy and everyone just goes along with it
